According to the solicitation (HSFLAR-13-Q-00019), DHS is ordering ammunition in .45 long Colts, .45 ACP, .22LR, 30-30, 12 gauge shotgun shells, 410 gauge shotgun shells, .357, and 7.69x39mm. That’s quite a spread for DHS.

OK, a couple of those calibers are NOT, in any way, shape or form, used by federal agents or the military. 30-30? 22LR? 7.62X39? WTF?

As someone noted earlier, ‘The Judge” fires both .410 shotgun shells AND .45 Longs.

“That’s for their wore out AK’s.”

Actually that’s for SKS rifles.

What would they need ammo for SKS rifles???

Unless it’s being shipped somewhere overseas. . . .

“Excuse my possible ignorance, but what firearm utilizes 7.69 x 39? I’m curious.”

SKS rifle.

My guess is that DHS is going to use the odd caliber ammo for show and tell. Most of the city boys that are recruited into DHS wouldn’t know a grenade from a 50 caliber round. Probably going to need to show the dummies that when they raid the civilians, leave the 22 LR and take the 45 caliber, etc.

I wonder if I could get ammo for them?

Perhaps. Most of it is out of stock.

I’m not an expert, but every thing I read says SKS utilizes 7.62 x 39. Where am I going wrong?

Re your #72 - I think you are on to it; Obama isn’t obsessed with universal “gun control”; it’s going to be “Gun redistribution” - from working class English speaking Judeo-Christian Americans to gang bangers, Mexican drug thugs and Muslim Hadjis who will gladly enforce the regime’s tyranny and looting of what’s left of America while accomplishing their “population reduction” agenda.

I predict that when the SHTF the prisons will be emptied and many of the inmates armed, recruited into the “Domestic Security Force” and sent out to terrorize the targeted populations. Don’t count on any mercy from those fellows.

Gun control, much like the genocide to follow, will be quite selective according to race, religion, and political ideology.

I’m hearing that even .22 ammo is getting hard to find, and someone seems to show up to gobble up any shipments that do arrive in stores as soon as it is received.

I suspect that government shills are patrolling all the gun shows and retail outlets with rolls of freshly printed money to buy up anything that appears before us peasants can get any of it.

If you reload, I hope you’ve got a good supply of components, as even that is getting scarce. I expect reloading to be regulated or banned before much longer.

The SKS, the AK 47, and the Ruger Mini Thirty, plus every AK clone out there.

A bright spot is that hopefully one day in the future there will be a lot of government surplus ammo for sale cheap.

What would happen if American Citizens got their hands on such a stash

What do you think Marxists will be guarding, their own lives or warehouses of ammo?

The world is awash in civil wars in last few years. In each one of them government stocks of arms and ammo are raided by the rebels. This happens either because the government troops cannot be everywhere at the same time, or because the government soldiers are not that interested in dying for a dictator. In the end all this ammo is used against the government, and the government falls.

There is yet another interesting fact. In all those civil wars rebels have foreign support and are supplied with money and weapons and ammo. If a civil war happens in the USA, what countries will be on the side of the citizens? (This can be figured out by asking what countries will be on the side of the government.)

Well, my friends AK shoots 7.62 x 39 only. Thanks for the info. I’ll let her know she’s shooting the wrong ammo.

The 7.62 X 39mm is the standard Soviet / Warsaw pact small arms round for both the Siminov Carbine (SKS - tactically obsolete) and the AK-47 and most of it’s variations.

The Czech VZ-58 which looks a lot like an AK but is designed differently also chambers the 7.62X39.

It’s standard for the Chicoms, Norks, Cubans, most of the Islamic regimes and terrorist organizations, as well as various 3rd world banana republics.

Most of the people in the World who want to shoot Americans would use 7.62 X 39mm to shoot us with.

Since the Dept. on InJustice issued all of those AKs to the Mexican drug cartels, perhaps they want to refresh their ammo supplies. Wouldn’t be surprised if they intend to invite them to come up North to help with the reconquestadore when the regime decides that it’s time to crush those annoying “bitter clingers” who insist on resisting the NWO.

I have a so called Spruce Gun. It is a Model 1894 Winchester in .30 WCF, AKA .30-30. It is one of 1,800 commercially produced rifles bought by the Fed Gov’t. to protect the Northwest forests during WWI so there would be spruce wood available for aircraft manufacture.

A relative bought it after the war when they were sold as surplus, so I don’t think the Feds have any need for ammo for guns they no longer have.

No. Now I’m really confused. I thought the AK47 used 7.62 x 39. not 7.69 x 39. LOL
