I agree with Brit. The press will try to cover for her, but Congress will eventually get the facts and she will be held accountable by opponents if and when she runs for President. As Reagan channeling John Adams said, facts are stubborn things.

She really blew this tactically as Billy Jeff in his prime never would have. She should have taken "full responsibility" in that way politicians do without really taking responsibility and started to make it "old news." Taking the route she did will just let it fester.
