Maybe one of you can help. Seems I recall just after the last “election” Obama was talking to some reporter about something and made the statement to the effect that in a couple of years as President, “if I am still President.” at that time I thought it was an odd statement, I think they were joking about birthers or something along that line. Did anyone else remember that?

Iirc there was also talk about poor health and buying property in HI about that time too! Who knows what he was thinking!
Well, Boehner doesn’t have to appoint a committee, he doesn’t represent the American people who might want a hearing for all he knows and cares.
I don’t know WHO he works for, but it’s not us, ah, We . . .The People, that is.
He shouldn’t be doing this, and there will be consequences, as it is God, to whom he will have to explain, as he swore to Him to protect the Constitution, and represent our concerns, like needing reassurance that our foreign service workers will be protected by the gov’t for whom they go into harms way, overseas.
But we can’t MAKE him do his job.
We can make the other members of congress throw him out of the post, but they’d have to be willing to do that.
This is not the time for cocktail parties in DC and not with the press.
It’s amazing what a little investigative reporting by a mainstream news outlet can do. I’m not going to criticize ABC at this juncture...whatever it takes — even someone like Karl from the NY Post being at the network only a few months. Hopefully this is the beginning of the media turning back to their feeding frenzy days of yore.

I vaguely recall the MSM turning on L.B. Johnson. I became aware of the animosity through TV situation comedies at the time, especially variety shows like the “Smothers Brothers.” The MSM probably never cared much for him to begin with, but the ridicule got pretty vicious as time went on.
He said boehner said it. Levin was pissed. Said they must have something on the cryer

Does Boehner have any opposition in the upcoming 2014 election? He needs to be primaried and beaten!
