Obama Blasts Putin Over Treatment Of Gays, Ignores National Security
Political Realities ^ | 08/07/13 | LD Jackson

Once again, we bring you a story that shows us all exactly where President Obama's priorities really lie. We have Edward Snowden taking asylum in Russia. Al Qaeda is clearly not running scared from our attempts to shut them down. In spite of his attempts to brush them off as phony scandals, Benghazi, IRS, NSA, etc., are still hanging over Obama's head. And what does he want to talk about with Jay Leno on The Tonight Show? He goes after President Vladimir Putin for he supposed mistreatment of gays. This comes to us via BadBlue.

The Daily Caller - President Barack Obama lashed out at Russia’s treatment of its small population of sexual minorities on Tuesday, but he downplayed the massive intelligence victory over the United States that Russian strongman Vladimir Putin won by helping engineer Edward Snowden’s defection.

During an appearance on NBC’s “The Tonight Show,” Obama told host Jay Leno said he has “no patience for countries that try to treat gays and lesbians and transgendered persons in ways that intimidate them or are harmful to them.”

“I have been very clear that when it comes to universal rights, when it comes to people’s basic freedoms, that whether you’re discriminating on the basis of race, religion, gender, or sexual orientation you are violating the basic morality that I think should transcend every country,” he declared.

Make no mistake. I am not in favor of the mistreatment of any individual or groups. I have read some about Russia's new laws about homosexuals and all I see is that they recognize the importance of a stable home environment with a mother and a father. Whether these laws go beyond that, I can not tell. What strikes me is the emphasis placed on this by our own President Obama. Surely, there are more important issues for him to discuss. We have national security problems running out of our ears, yet he is more concerned with how Russia treats homosexuals. He even questioned their commitment to fairness at the upcoming winter Olympics.
He also seemed to believe that Russia’s controversial new laws curbing apparent advocacy of homosexuality could cause problems at the 2014 winter Olympics in southern Russia.

“I think [Russian President Vladimir] Putin and Russia have a big stake in making sure the Olympics work,” he said.

“I think they understand that for most of the countries that participate in the Olympics, we wouldn’t tolerate gays and lesbians being treated differently — they’re athletes” he said. ”If Russia wants to uphold the Olympic spirit, then every judgment should be made on the track or in the swimming pool or on the balance beam and people’s sexual orientation shouldn’t have anything to do with it,” he said.

Obama - PutinWhat we have here is a classic move by Obama. Just as he has done on multiple occasions since taking office, he is suggesting a problem that doesn't exist. He suggested there was a problem in the arrest of a Harvard professor, just because he was black. He suggested there was a problem with the Trayvon Martin/George Zimmerman affair, just because Martin was black. He has used this same tactic countless times. All in the name of fairness and equality. Now he is trying the same thing with Vladamir Putin. Anyone care to guess how well that will go over with the Russian President?

Just as he has done in America, thrusting himself into situations that are none of his concern, I suspect his latest salvo at Putin will be a total bust. He seems to think just because he says something, that's how it is, or should be. He has suggested racism against blacks, discrimination against blacks and homosexuals, unfairness against the middle class, the list goes on and on. Time after time, he has given speeches that attempt to lead Americans to the believe that he is right about these issues. Does he really believe he can do the same with Vladamir Putin?

I would suggest President Obama pay more attention to the national security of the United States of America, rather than try to bully Russia and Vladamir Putin into changing their laws to combat a non-existent problem of discrimination against homosexuals. As President of the United States, Obama should have certain priorities. Russia's domestic policy shouldn't even be on the list.

The 0bummerrhoid dwells in an alternate universe.

By his reckoning, women and men (you know, XX and XY) should not compete in separate events, but rather compete in the same events and be judged only on their performance. Just try to imagine that for a moment and how well the women would do against the men.

Then the entire clown circus of flaming gays and lesbos and transvestites can participate with normal people in all the same events, without being separated according to whatever gender they perceive themselves to be.

If I were Putin, I would refuse to even attempt to negotiate with such a delusional incompetent as the 0bummerrhoid has shown itself to be.

How about a little of that “no patience” for the murderous blacks killing each other in your own country.

>>>hey if it were’t so frigging cold there and you could get good pizza—I’d go to Russia. Pooty Poot has more friggin sense than this jackass.<<<

Try anywhere between Adler and Tuapse on the east coast of the Black Sea. This area is subpropical, pretty much similar to Orlando in terms of climate. They have palms in Russia, too.
A lot of nice pizza too.

World War III - The cataclysmic thermonuclear conflict between the United States and Russia that started when President Barack Hussein Obama initiated a nuclear exchange over the issue of Russian mistreatment of gays, at the behest of key donor constituencies within the Democratic Party.

Our community agitator is trying to agitate the Russian community. Last time someone tried that, Putin leveled an entire city (Grozny).

Barry its just that Putin and Russia realize two homosexuals getting married is ridiculous. In fact I would argue and Vlad would likely agree that the word “ridiculous” was invented to describe gay marrriage.

Time to dust off Hillary's reset button again.

Because gimmicks and sound bites are much cooler than having an actual foreign policy.

Stephens was definitely known to be as queer as a $3 bill in high school.

Putin has at least 50 IQ points on Obama, so My guess is Putin wins by allowing Obama to um, er, uh, himself to the floor.

He can follow the precedent set by his rival for title of “worst President since the Civil War,” Jimmy Carter, by ordering US athletes to boycott the Olympics if Putin doesn’t cave in.
