Louie seems quite content in the House, but I’d be tickled if he would run against Cornyn.

In normal times I would agree. These are not normal times. There can be no progress for conservatives with these GOP-e fossils in control.

Cornyn keeps sabotaging the conservative movement. He is more effective than a democrat because he claims to be on our side while knifing us in the back. McConnell, McCain and their ilk are as much the enemy as any democrat.

RE :”Asked how he saw the fight over the continuing resolution playing out, Cornyn said: “The first vote will probably be on Wednesday. There will be some procedural votes and what I expect will happen is Sen. Reid will try to strip out the language to defund Obamacare and send it back to the House and, of course, the fiscal year ends on Monday (Sept. 30).
“So there’s not a lot of time left for the House then to act,” Cornyn said. “So it may be that the House will have to pass that with a combination of Democratic and Republican votes.”

No surprises there.

The Libs over at MSNBC seem more scared of the debt limit holdout than a shutdown, at least that is the way they talk. Then again it could just be a smoke-screen.

And Obama says ‘no compromise’. That should make it easy then. (Another ‘redline’ in sand?)

Big government lover Cornyn speaks.
What a coward.

Here’s a link to all of Cornyn’s district offices, since it’s impossible to get through on his DC number:

Sen. John Cornyn, R-Texas, said Friday that he opposes shutting down the government over defunding Obamacare.

Great, Senator. Then get behind the House bill that funds the government.

I’m a regular writer to Senator Cornyn, when he’s doing right and when he’s doing wrong.

Here is what I just sent him:
Senator Cornyn,
I guess its time to remind you that you were elected to be conservative, not GOPe snuggled to closely with the likes of McCain.

We STRONGLY support and identify with Senator Cruz and Rep. Gohmert’s strong conservative stands that will return America to a better place.

Need to get back on board before someone better to our liking comes along.

(Metaphorically) Burning down that house to get rid of rats like Cornyn would be a worthwhile exercise.

Indeed.

Actually, I'd have no problem with literally burning the house and senate down.

We have the technology to allow us to conduct all the people's business electronically. Make them live in their damned districts/states. At the same time, make all of that business completely public with very rare exceptions.
