I remember enjoying reading your posts in my early years on the FR. I have just recently discovered your books; and, as an avid reader of all the Travis Mcgee novels through the years (even have enjoyed a few martinis with The famous Plymouth Gin!) am looking forward to reading them. But my reason for this post is to recommend a sailing destination for you. One of my favorite places to sail is the Exuma Islands. Especially Grand Exuma. The harbor at Georgetown and the famous Peace and Plenty Hotel and bar. Maybe you are familiar with these Islands. If so Great. Sorry to waste your time. But if not, please consider them. A lot of sailors consider them one of the best kept secrets of the out islands. At any rate, Happy sailing. May the wind fill your sails and the currents be kind to you! Best regards.

I am digging Great Exuma and Georgetown in the Bahamas. (And all of the Bahamas, almost.) My wife and I were there in the 80s on our 35' sloop that we lived aboard year-round as newlyweds. Have not been to the Peace and Plenty since the late 1980s.

Norman's Cay, late 80s.
