Obama says we should raise the minimum wage, but barackobama.com advertises for “unpaid” interns

Obama says we should raise the minimum wage, but barackobama.com advertises for “unpaid” interns

In February 2013, Obama said:

“Tonight, let’s declare that in the wealthiest nation on Earth, no one who works full-time should have to live in poverty, and raise the federal minimum wage to $9.00 an hour. This single step would raise the incomes of millions of working families. It could mean the difference between groceries or the food bank; rent or eviction; scraping by or finally getting ahead. For businesses across the country, it would mean customers with more money in their pockets. In fact, working folks shouldn’t have to wait year after year for the minimum wage to go up while CEO pay has never been higher. So here’s an idea that Governor Romney and I actually agreed on last year: let’s tie the minimum wage to the cost of living, so that it finally becomes a wage you can live on.”

However, barackobama.com advertises for “unpaid” interns. The bolding is mine:

Automatic cost of living increases are why the government lies about inflation. It has historically run 10% per year, effectively halving the value of a dollar every ten years. But the government consistently reports 2-3% inflation. If they reported the real number the automatic COLA increases would provide positive feedback to the economy and cause hyper inflation.

I’m for elimination all automatic COLA’s and honesty in financial reporting. The government should acknowledge the huge debts they’ve tied taxpayers to and those numbers should be reported as they are for publically traded companies.

I saw a can of beans go up 10% in 2 weeks but the gov says inflation for the year is 1.5% if you are on Social Security. Don’t seem to add up. Merry Christmas! It is also going to be a frugal Christmas at my house, to much about the presents anyway. Only the children get anything from me this year if they still believe in Santa.

Obama's stupid "income inequality” whine is part and parcel of progressives' greed/envy/entitlement stupidity---the Pay-Me-I'm-A-Victim scam. More akin to a dirt-poor Third World satrap than a thriving republic ruled by laws and market forces.

Obama can't seem to rise above his inane "community organizer" mentality. When he was crawling around the nabe preaching envy and greed----duping people on food stamps into believing they could payoff mortgages (ne'er do wells who taxpayers were forced to bail out).

Addicting people to government handouts is the "community organizer's" con game--to get votes--buying loyalty w/ other people's tax dollars.

===================================

And did Obama "forget" (snix)? B/c of Obamacare, if his volunteers number over 30, he has to buy them health insurance. ROTFLOL.

Energy, insurance, taxes, and food are not included in the government calculation. Also, I can’t remember what it’s called, but they don’t consider increases in technology costs. They say that the $3,000 you spent on a computer today is less than the cost of the $3,000 you spent five years ago because the computer can do more than the old one. Also, your new car that cost $30,000 is much better, safer and more energy efficient than the one you spent $25,000 on five years ago, so it too is cheaper.

We voted for these goons. (Or, somebody did.) The guy who comes in and tried to straighten it out will look horrible because it’s on his watch that everything went south.

Well, that’s how Bill Clinton gained hero status with the left and the Media, also the left.

Why involve the blog at all?
Why not just post from the real source?

You conveniently miss the point.

You found the material at a source. Post it from that source.
In the real forum. Your blog had nothing to do with the story
other than serve as a place for you to paste stolen material.

I completely disagree! I’d MUCH rater give grundle’s blog a hit than Obama’s website!
