I’ve been trying to just get a rate to compare since October 1. My identity is still being verified. No one at Obamacare and no one at Experian can help me. I’ve heard “please be patient” several times.

My patience is running out.

As much as I didn't want to I decided to apply for insurance through Obamacare because I could no longer afford my individual policy so I dropped it about a year ago. Thanks to Obamacare's earliest regulations the cost had already gone up considerably.

After weeks of trying to get on the web site I finally filled out a paper application 4 weeks ago. Still don't have confirmation in the mail but I did find out I was "eligible" through phone calls.

Eligible to pay full price, no subsidy. Because my income is too low.Yes, too low. Not too high. Too low. There is actually a lower limit to eligibility.

But I make too much for Medicaid. I'm one of the few that falls into a gap that leaves me SOL.
