Yes that’s right, Bill Clinton was elected because the Perot faction of more than 6 million blue collar democrats and conservatives also known as Reagan democrats voted against Bush the Elder and his New World Order and double talk on no new taxes.
But take heart, this is why the GOP primaries are so critically important. It is crucial that Tea Party conservatives win in GOP primaries so they control the ground game in the general elections.
The establishment republicans are not republicans, they are a Beltway ruling class network of lobbyists and fund raisers. Boehner is a sellout as are all the leaders of the establishment. The Beltway network monitors Tea Party donations. If they see low traffic they think the Tea Party is weak and will campaign against them. It they see high traffic donations, then they will talk the talk and try to get a slice of the pie.
Everything will be decided in the Spring and Summer primaries. If the Tea Party does poorly in the primary, republicans will lose in the general largely because of the non-participation of the historical Perot bloc.
The Party will super-fund, super-endorse and super-support not a half dozen moderate candidates, but ONE, basically. They will coalesce early, and fine tune until the machine is ramped for ‘16 and ready to win.
The Tea Party will bicker between ourselves, fail to watch the clock, or coalesce EARLY enough. This will, of course, make us LATE to the game, deprive us of pooled money and resources, which depletes both way too soon.
I am convinced that Republican primary voters, the last best hope of man, are also incapable of self-government.
Do you think Henry Ross Perot was a co-conspirator with Bill Clinton? H. Ross claims that the first Bush sold out POWS in Vietnam.
I admit I fell for the Perot campaign in 1992. Young and foolish and politically naive at the time. Never again will I throw away my vote on third party.
