She owns and operates a private kindergarten in Nairobi last I read, and she’s known by the name of her second marriage to Simeon Ndesandjo.

I’m glad you never heard of him because I haven’t either. I relied on your better memory. Who the heck is JON Payne? The Maraniss book claims he lived with them for three years. Anybody ever heard that Madelyn’s youngest brother lived with them while “Stanny Annie” was at Mercer HS? Thinking more about the Pratt daughter, who was a teen in those days, too: I’d expect her to have plenty of juicy memories of another teen, living in her house and hugely pregnant. Then the baby turns out to be black. Even if the Pratt girl didn’t live there (but I think she did), her parents didn’t talk about their house guests, which included the baby and mom living in the hall? Even if they lived in the cabin in the back, you’d expect her to hear about it. Why wouldn’t Madelyn have lived back there with her daughter who just had a baby at the tender age of 18 and didn’t even know how to change diapers?

I wouldn’t expect Maya to have homework until she was at least 6 years old—in first grade. Madelyny must have been very discreet if Barry was sent to live with her in 1971 but she never mentioned him until 1977 or so.

Her brother Jon Virgil Payne was born 1937 in Butler County, Kansas.

And you’re surprised Madelyn’s brother didn’t know about zero? How about her telling Virginia, the daughter of Stanley Armour’s brother, in 1982, that the reason they had been looking after the boy (who was by then on the mainland) was BECAUSE HIS MOTHER HAD DIED IN 197O!

Both Goeldners said the reaction has been mixed when they tell people the next president is their nephew — her great-nephew to be exact. The new president’s grandfather, Stanley Dunham, was Ginny’s brother. It was Stanley’s wife, Madelyn, who was the grandmother who died the day before the election. But Goeldner said her sister-in-law was able to vote for her grandson through early voting, so her vote counted in the election that swept her grandson into office.

Goeldner said her sister-in-law actually raised Barrack Obama, or Barry as they called him, when he was young, after his mother died in 1970.

Because they left Kansas for Indiana in 1976, they said they didn’t get to see her brother as often as they liked, but they did visit him in Hawaii, where several of the accompanying photos were taken.

Here’s a connection whose tenacles might prove interesting

Xxxxxxx
From
http://www.islamicparty.com/commonsense/11sufi.htm

.....According to Bennett, Abdullah Ed-Dagistani’s above mentioned prophecy had been fulfilled with the arrival of Pak Subuh and, as God had always sent messengers to save people from great wickedness, He had done so again in the modern age.

At the time of Subuh’s death several years ago, the chairman of the World Subud Council was Varindra Tarzie Vittachi. In 1973, he had been appointed director of the U.N. World Population Year, after which he became director of information on public affairs for the U.N. Population Fund (1974-79). From 1980, until his retirement, he was deputy executive director of UNICEF, the U.N. Children’s Fund.

When asked as to its purpose, Muhammad Subuh himself had said:
“What is the purpose of spreading Subud? Well, primarily... it concerns the work people have come to call the... United Nations.”

You’ll end up at the point where you realize that Pak Subuh was a muslim and as a muslim, his entire motivation was to attract members to his cult, raise money, and infiltrate the United Nations. A muslims gotta do what a muslims gotta do.
Only this one got silly white people to fund his cult.

The various council plans we posted in FR in 2008, have disappeared from Google Images of course, but I imagine they might still exist on the Long Thread. (Which I have read three times,) but at some 9,400 comments, I'm not going back there.

Discrete isn't the word for it imo, it was a totally different scenario in 1982 when the relatives came to visit, 'Dreams' hadn't been dreamed of.

And neither had her daughter's husband received an award from the Saudi Prince:

And Virginia's husband was still alive:

OBITUARY

Survivors include wife, Virginia (Dunham) Goeldner of Maumelle; daughter, Layla Cecil Goeldner of Saudi Arabia; son, Kevin Blake Goeldner of Aledo, Texas; grandchildren, Nadia, Maria, Dania, Abdulrahman, Omar, Grace and Seth; great-grandchildren, Abdullah, Jena, Adam, Tariq and Sami.

Am I missing something? At its height Subud apparently had 20,000 members in the west, silly white people who handed him money because he was so spiritual...that sufi-muslim had something going for him, but how does the name Covert mean anything other than being a follower of this ‘guru’?

It’s got to be a joke. He was apparently involved in ousting Sukarno, which would have made him loved by the remaining Dutch in Indonesia, but he supported the muslim overthrow by Suharto, so there we have it all over again, out with the socialist strongman and in with islam, as a result of which hundreds of thousands of chinese and ‘foreign infidels’ (read non-muslims) were slaughtered.

And STILL his organisation exists? You can’t legislate against stupidity I guess. Loretta Fuddy, did you know you were really just following islam by another name? That you were raising money for the very cult that wants to wipe you off the face of the earth - that that is what you were a good little helper of?

I wonder if she also believed that the sound of the muzin calling the faithful to prayer was the most beautiful sound on earth? (As she made her way to sing in the choir at the Catholic Church!)
Hypocrites, all.

Good work! Her first name is Debi. She’s had a name change just like ....

In all the research about the lighter side I’d the family nothing came up about this facet. Now we may know why.

What did her hubby get his award for and what is his occupation are the two questions that pop in my mind!

Thank you. So he was only 5 years older than SAD? Right out of high school? Odd that he’s never mentioned. You’d think her girlfriends would have noticed him. What high school girls aren’t interested in their chums’ older brothers, cousins, and even uncles if they’re young enough?

It’s not ‘good work’ so don’t patronise me, I’m not one of your flunkies. I’ve been posting that Goeldner connection to Saudi Arabia for years, but every time I mentioned Virginia Goeldner and her statement that Madelyn told her ‘the boy’s mother died in 1970’ the resident FR obstructionists have come out in force and denied it was possible, that Virginia must have made a mistake or the journalist misquoted her.

We The People of the US blog posted the photograph and the background to the award given to Layla’s (Debi Goeldner) husband so long ago, I can’t find it now. He’s some kind of engineer iirc, and her deceased father installed a computer system for a Saudi Bank. I’ll post it if and when I find it again.
