Thank you. This is why I held fire until having more info. It’s all good and well to hold the cops feet to the fire, considering the power they have, but to treat LE en masse as the enemy is a very self-defeating stance. (Although, their pictures look like they have roid rage!)
I could be wrong, but as far as I know King suffered only bruises on the arms & legs.
We had one of these incidents locally a few years ago.
Wacko got Baker Acted by his family for a 72 hour observation. He walked out of observation and returned to the vacant family home in which he grew up.
SWAT showed up and two officers were shot dead upon entry.
Lawsuits abound. Cops were poorly trained, hospital was negligent, family was outraged.
There are options in such situations but the correct one is only visible in hindsight.
