Atlanta-area evangelical leaders on Thursday called on Congress to pass legislation that would create a pathway to citizenship for immigrants living illegally in the U.S. They are part of the Evangelical Table, a coalition of faith leaders who support revamping the nations immigration system consistent with biblical values. The coalitions statement of principles also calls for respecting the rule of law and securing the nations borders. Several Georgia members of the coalition held a news conference about their cause Thursday at First Baptist Church of Tucker. Some are planning to travel Tuesday to Washington to meet with congressmen. We find that over and over again, said David Park, pastor of Open Table Community, an Evangelical Free Church of America location in Chamblee, God instructs his people to love and welcome immigrants, to ensure they are treated justly, and to protect the unity of the family, the institution that God has established as the cornerstone of society.

Sounds like another violation of the liberals’ “wall of separation” to me. Where the heck is the ACLU.
I’m sure it has nothing to do with ‘butts on pews’ and what goes into the collection plate towards ‘socialist causes’.
"As evangelical Christian leaders, we call for a bipartisan solution on immigration that:
Respects the God-given dignity of every person
Protects the unity of the immediate family
Respects the rule of law
Guarantees secure national borders
Ensures fairness to taxpayers
Establishes a path toward legal status and/or citizenship for those who qualify and who wish to become permanent residents"
Really?
Where were they on state sanctioned fornication, aka ‘same sex marriage’?
I am coming closer and closer to the belief that there is nothing right with the world, anymore.
But how can this be? I thought only the Catholic Church supports illegal immigration, because most illegals are Catholic. You mean numerous other Christian denominations are just as vocally pro-illegal? < sarcasm >
The ENVIRONMENTALISTS first figured out that many of the people running these churches are ABSOLUTE IDIOTS and have NO CLUE as to what left stands for when it comes to religion (i.e., “re-education” camps are one of their milder forms of dealing with people of faith).
Apparently, all the left has to do is find a bible passage somewhere that says something like “shall be stewards of the planet” to these IDIOTS and they are go out in public DEMANDING that mining be shutdown, and the media duly reports it. In this case, it was probably something like “care for those less fortunate”.
That is why IT IS CRITICAL to understand both the words, and THE CONTEXT when dealing with these people - and context being the understanding of just who these people are and how they view you.
