America is where I can live my beliefs in Jesus without fear of harm or retaliation.
America's Declaration of Independence recognized that our rights came from our creator and not from government.
Americas Declaration of Independence stated that securing our rights is the reason to institute a government.
America's Constitution instituted a government tasked with protecting our rights.
America's Constitution forbids the government from interfering with our rights.
What better place on Earth to live for Jesus than America and what better way to say thanks than to salute Americas flag. Long may she wave.
Opinions like this are by nature attacking the patriotism that we so badly need to survive as a country.
Strange, just recently this very topic came up where I was told, in an incredibly condescending, self-righteous manner, my God was the state. A fellow Christian accused me of being a worshiper of the “Golden Calf” for my patriotism and allegiance to the United States of America. The discussion turned very nasty. I was not very kind and Christian-like in my defense.
With respect to the Jehovah's Witnesses, I'm not aware of any mainstream Christian denomination that teaches not to recite the Pledge.
If I recall correctly, Jehovah’s Witnesses also do not vote, hold public office, join any military organization, accept others’ blood in transfusion or accept organ transplants, etc.
If the phrase “under God” is operable, then the pledge to the American flag and Republic is null and void should the republic cease to obey God’s laws.
I ask one guy who felt this way if he had renounced his American citizenship and announce his allegiance placing himself back under the rule of the court of St. James as an act of repentance. He never would answer me.
You finally caught up to the Jehovah Witnesses...
As I see it, God created the United States to be the beacon to the world as far as the freedom to worship God and the result has been that the U.S. has spawned more missionaries and more bibles than the rest of the world combined...
I believe that’s worth taking a stand for...
Pledging allegiance to God and pledging allegiance to the FLAG are apples and oranges...It will never come to one or the other for the Christian...
That may however become an issue for a Catholic...
Yes, the Witnesses go the whole nine yards with their beliefs. They are the opposite of the anti-religion crowd that wants to strip “under God” out of the Pledge.
Exactly...The gov't is becoming less and less 'under God' but when the Constitution becomes null and void, then my allegiance will do the same...
RE: America is where I can live my beliefs in Jesus without fear of harm or retaliation.
Not when you obey and believe His teachings about marriage, by which you either lose your job, or are fined.
The pledge of allegiance to the Federal Government is Yankee propaganda against state rights and individual rights.
“One Nation, Under God...”
No problem. ..

Imho, studying the Bible is a life-long occupation.
I pledge allegiance, to the flag, of the United States of America...

I’m pretty sure they are all trained by the Order of Albino Assassin Monks to mouth the words with a straight face.
Obviously.
