What Is Going On With The Rasmussen Reports Polls?

We've all seen how Rasmussen Reports has jumped the shark and become a far more Obama/Democrat-friendly polling agency since Scott Rasmussen left the company in 2012. Yet I don't know how ANYONE can any longer take this outfit seriously given how it now has the latest Obama job approval tracking poll of likely voters at 52% APPROVAL, 46% DISAPPROVAL in the wake of the escalating national outrage over the despicable Obama regime's treasonous swap of five terrorist leaders for one American "soldier" who had deserted his platoon, which ultimately led to the deaths of six other military troops. Keep in mind that the latest Real Clear Politics average of all media polls currently has Obama's composite approval average at 43.4% (and this figure actually includes Rasmussen's latest inflated poll!)

Anyway, I stumbled upon a conservative blogger known as "Big Mike" who has calculated some interesting statistics regarding Rasmussen Reports' Oba-Mao job approval numbers since October 2013 and found the results to be an interesting read. I thought you might too...

Oh, I agree, Rasmussen is garbage. But not by the comparisons you make.

You aren’t ‘my’ comparisons genius, they were the comparisons that were made in the referenced article. If you have a problem with the statistical analysis then take it up with the OP and buzz off.

When you refer the the comparisons made by others, you are promoting them and making them your own.

Don't tell me that polling everybody and polling only registered voters is going to yield the same answers. That's just an asinine assertion.

The point of the article, if I have to explain it to you, is that Obama’s poll numbers are at or near an all time low by every single measure yet your buddy Rasmussen’s results do NOT reflect that. In fact their poll would suggest that Obama’s approvals are some 15 points higher than earlier Rasmussen LIKELY VOTER polls.

As I said earlier, and I will not back off from it, Rasmussen’s numbers are garbage and everyone knows it. There is ZERO statistical significance to them. They are being manufactured for a purpose and RCP should purge them from their average.

But are you seriously going to rely on other leftist pollsters that happen to agree with you? Reuters? Seriously?

I’m only looking at trends. Furthermore Reuters poll looks in line with ever other poll out there (including Fox News). Obama is unpopular and every single poll (except Rasmussen) reflects that.

If Obama was really at +50% approval, would cheerleaders like Chris Matthews be critical of him? I think not...

I don’t remember where but 4 or 5 months ago I read he sold the company and the new owners fired him.
