Look it up online or call ahead for hours.

Why would you EVER go to a business if you weren’t sure that they were open?

I'm talking SMALLTOWN, population about 300 or less, where the only postal clerk closes the office to take one and a half hours for lunch and the library is open only 16-20 hours a week. While driving down the town's main street, you can't tell by looking if the business is open or closed. No, they don't have a website. Sometimes they are not even in the phone book!

I once mentioned to a CITY clerk in a small town of inbred idiots that it would be helpful if she posted office hours in the window. "Well, yes an no," was her reply. I left that town and wiped the dust from my sandals.
