I heard an interesting story yesterday in San Antonio, and it sounded like straight out of book 2. A group of high school age (football team, seniors) broke in to a house, by removing the window a/c unit. Stole 40K in jewelry, and took it to a gold buying place, not a pawn shop. The gold buying place refused to buy it until an appropriately aged individual came in to the store. Bought 40K in gold, for 4K. The store was owned by Chinese individuals.
So the cops don’t monitor gold buying places, just pawn shops, so if an officer hadn’t been there for some other reason, the gold would have been gone, because the gold buying places are not required to report anything to the police. They just get nice gold for cheap, melt it down, and it disappears.
They’re buying our debt, and now our gold.

I have tinkered with the idea of having an evil force, a moon goddess who first arises out of Crete then is associated with Tyre and Sidon on the Lebanese coast. They are something like the illuminatti but all her followers are female. At one time they become powerful and may even have enough power to silently take over but they are foiled by the rise of Christianity.
These Iluminatti go into hiding, often in plain sight until the time is right. For the moon goddess to arise again.
There is a force of men who also sort of keep in the background and it is their job to keep tabs on the illuminatti (not their real name).
In the year 2000 a girl is born from the innocent romance between a boy and girl of the two sides, unaware who the other is.
This girl grows up to be a beautiful girl and everyone loves her. At this time she doesn’t know herself what is in store for her but is taken in by the women’s group and begins to realize that she is chosen one, the Moon Goddess who is to turn the world into their religeon which is associated with Islam then Satan.
The conflict begins between the Christian group which has been watching for the Moon Goddess to finally be revealed.
Still not sure how to end it.
I guess I will never write it unless I can get my Daughter to help.
I mean the very, very end. Don’t mind skipping what leads up to the end.
