Evidence Mounts of a Manufactured Border Crisis
Accuracy In Media ^ | July 17 2014 | Roger Aronoff

The situation at America’s southern border is a “manufactured crisis,” one perpetuated—if not started—by the Obama administration. After all, the administration put out an ad in January 2014 asking for contractors to handle an influx of 65,000 children. “The surge to 60,000 or so children seen this year was said to catch many off guard, especially since just 6,500 children entered the U.S. as early as 2011,” reported Pete Kasperowicz for The Blaze. “But [Republican Representative Jeff] Sessions [R-AL] said the advertisement showed that the administration knew the surge would happen.” And in reality, the 60,000 children represent only about 20 percent of the total illegal immigrants who have come into this country since April.

In addition, a series of new revelations this week further demolish the administration’s narrative about whether or not this is, indeed, a manufactured crisis, and if it is being handled responsibly. For example, thanks to a report by Breitbart News, we learned that the Obama administration is using organizations to find prospective foster homes for some of the unaccompanied children coming across the border, and offering to pay the foster parents more than $6,000 per month, tax free, to house them. What could possibly go wrong?

If that doesn’t work out, the federal government has plans for temporary housing at a Texas resort, with tennis courts, swimming pools, a steam room and sauna, all for the bargain rate of $50 million a year. At least they did until the public became aware of it, at which time they thought better of it. As Washington, D.C. radio talk-show host Chris Plante said, maybe they should have thought to offer that first to homeless or disabled vets. Did anyone consider that?

Breitbart also disclosed material in a leaked report from the El Paso Intelligence Center,

No, the owner of The Blaze is not ‘making it attractive’ to come here. He is trying to deal with people who need help. Glenn Beck wants them deported as well. But he feels there is a duty to help people who may need food or clothing, however they got here.

Whether you like him or not, he is actually trying to do the right thing.

Beck has turned into a dilettante-he claims he is donating all that stuff to church groups, as he preaches sympathy and caring-but I don’t see him offering to let any of those kiddies stay at HIS fancy home with HIS kids-charity begins at home, as long as it isn’t his home...

I disagree-he is not going to encourage any deportation by what he is doing-the fed can corrupt anything, and is already throwing money at faith based groups to get them to shelter the illegals-kids and adults-and stave off their deportation.

A plan to house hundreds of illegal immigrant children at a multimillion-dollar hotel complex in Texas was scuttled after the prospect of taxpayers footing the bill for luxury lodging proved too much of a public relations obstacle.

BCFS, previously known as Baptist Child and Family Services, which has a contract with the Department of Health and Human Services to run camps at Lackland Air Force Base in San Antonio and Fort Sill in Oklahoma, had a deal to buy the Palm Aire Hotel in Weslaco, Texas, for $3.8 million. The hotel was built in the 1980s and includes three swimming pools, tennis courts and an exercise room.

They got busted on this one.

We need to assign a mascot to Obama’s problem with unexpected consequences of which there seem to be so many one can hardly keep track of them.

We need something like a Wile E. Coyote with a superimposed stylized Obama face. Perhaps just highlights of Obama’s features superimposed such as eyes, ears, and head scars, or the like.

Perhaps we could make it an official Obama mascot similar to his own egotistical trademark.

If I could do photoshop, I’d try it, but I’m not that good with a computer.

OK. But the regime here, still has a money trail since last year fomenting this. Maybe they gave the coyotes money, airplanes and railroads to do this. This IS NOT spontaneous.

Never let a crisis go to waste. And if there isn’t one, manufacture it.

Hmmm. Some said the same about Ted Kennedy, or any number of other misguided dems.

No, it is not, and we already see the money trail leads to advertising that tells lies in major papers like La Prensa and even some ads on TV stations in Central America-border patrol found ads and handbills in the illegals’ stuff saying they could stay if they were a kid and let themselves get caught.

Coyotes operate illegally and in concert with narcos-both have perfectly good connections with planes and railroads to do all sorts of dirty business-even private planes-think guys like Pablo Escobar. Also, people pay these smugglers $5K and up to smuggle someone here by any means at all-and no luxury accommodations. Those ads and talk have speeded up something that has gone on for longer than anyone of any party wants to admit, because they are complicit by looking the other way.

I’m not blowing smoke-my family has lived in S and W Texas for a couple hundred years-I was born near the border and raised on a ranch, and this has gone on for all of my life-I’m a Texican/Hispanic, bilingual-watching the public interest commercials on Spanish-language TV channels is enlightening at times...

If this is the motel that some organization called The Baptist Children's Home, or something like that, had put up an offer to buy to house the illegals, I read that this organization decided NOT to go through with it. They received much negative push back from the pubic, and decided to cancel their offer.

EVERYONE: PLEASE READ THE FOLLOWING ON WHAT REALLY HAPPENED AT MURRIETA, CA. This is the answer to a previous FR post on the legitimacy of what had been reported as the truth. PASS THIS LINK ON: http://oathkeepers.org/ The article is dated 7-15-14 and is entitled, Murrieta Mutiny. Border Patrol “Will Not Obey Unlawful Orders” From Homeland Security And White House.

WE THE PEOPL DO MAKE A DIFFERENCE. CONTINUE TO SHOW UP AND STOP BUSSES FROM UNLOADING ILLEGAL ALIENS INTO THIS COUNTRY. IT IS GOING TO BE UP TO US TO PUSH BACK.

I either heard the same, or read it somewhere. The Baptist Home cancelled their plans to buy the motel that would house the illegal aliens because they received MUCH PUSH BACK AND CRITICISM FROM THE PUBLIC.

WE THE PEOPLE DO MAKE A DIFFERENCE. DON'T STOP FIGHTING THIS INVASION, IN ANY WAY YOU CAN. ALSO, READ THE FOLLOWING AND PASS IT ON: www.oathkeepers.org Murrieta Mutiny:

A person can be judged by their actions. Kennedy’s actions were uniformly bad for the US.

People can also be judged by the company they keep. Ted Cruz & Louie Gohmert seem to think Glenn is doing the right thing and are accompanying him to the border. If they are with him, so am I.
