I don’t think this is a remake. Maybe same idea, same name, but this is no remake. It’s almost totally current. It’s up to you, but you would be glad you checked it out. It’s remarkably balanced in that it makes Democrats and liberals look worse than any Republicans (makes them all look bad) - but more to the point, it IS Washington.

So it’s like “21 Jump Street” and some of the other movies that steal titles from awesome TV shows but bear absolutely no resemblance to the original?

House of cards

Since we don't know what next season will bring, not sure if it will follow the exact same line as this one. I don't think anyone could beat Spaceys acting of the character though.

It is a remake of a UK show.

I watched all of season 1 and 1/2 of season 2. Then it got politically correct (re: Spacey’s townhouse bombing).
