There is a big difference between the Angelic Priesthood of Melchizedek and the Mormon order of Melchizedek. The Angelic Priesthood is not of this world.
I thought there might be a difference.

Most Biblical scholars believe this is Mark, as in the Gospel of Mark, a student of Peter.
The third is the young man found in Jesus’ tomb who basically announces the resurrection.
Most think they were Angels based on the shining garments.

There were other races of people in the world. God spoke to Israelites and was all about His chosen land and people. Matter of fact I think it’s even at the least alluded to that us gentiles were grafted in but only due to Israel’s stubborness and disobedience. Genesis can be interpreted as two separate creations, with Adam and Eve being the focus because they were to be the bloodline of which the savior would come. There are some who believe the “Beasts of the field” were in fact, not animals. I won’t repeat the rest here as that particular viewpoint could offend. I read a long essay about it years ago.

Yes, just one sampling of the forbidden knowledge of good and evil would taint the bloodline that God wanted to remain pure. The life is in the blood. Jesus is said to be the tree of life. The tree of life=eat of it and live forever. Once they sinned God barred the way to the tree of life. But then He gave it as an offering for all to spiritually partake in (And somehow even physically if you go by what Jesus instructed at the Last Supper)if they could lead a pure and Holy existence as is possible.

Satan tried to ruin the chances of the Hebrew line that brought about a prophetically consistent Messiah that would fulfill the accuracy of the prophets God had anointed. There are numerous examples of Satan trying to up-end the plan. Onan being one of the most obvious.
A couple of points. :)
The first point is that the closer we stick to Scripture the more accurate our reading of that Scripture will be.
The second point is that there is no reason why the whole human race could not have come from just two people. Humans tend to reproduce rapidly, having gone from about 1.5 billion at the beginning of the 20th century to over 7 billion now.
Wasn’t Melchizedek the name of an enemy of Superman? He would create all kinds of mischief and Superman would trick him into saying his name and poof he would would vanish to to his dimension........ : )

I recall asking a pastor about all of Solomon’s wives, concubines, etc. And why that was “okay” with God back then, but not now.
He replied something like “It wasn’t okay back then, but God was trying to teach them other, more important things first.”
I’m thinking the incest thing might have been similar. An earlier post mentioned Adam’s fall, and that we are all stained by that. And how Christ is related to Adam. If their were other created humans, that would be a problem.
I wonder if some of the incest problem isn’t handled by the Nephalim(?)early on that were allowed to have relations with humans at first. But after the flood are now only in spirit form (demons), or so I have read.
I was expecting to see Joseph of Arimathea in this list. Especially given his later apocryphal travels.

I don’t want to seem like a biblical know it all....but, on the sixth day god created male, and female in his image..some were hunters, fisherman, and farmers...on the eight day god created adam from the dust of the earth..he needed a gardener for eden ,,through adam,and eves bloodline our lord jesus was born,,satan had been trying to disrupt that blood line to prevent christs birth,,he knew once Christ was born,died , and was raised from the dead by our father..he was doomed..christs victory,,satans judgement for eternal damnation.....cain married in the land of nod to someone from the 6th day creation..also he is not listed in adams family tree..because he wasn’t adams son...he was guess whos son?
