Not to be glib about, but as a post dedicated to humor, I would think the punchline would be compromised somewhat if I included the sarc tag. Besides, the written word existed for thousands of years without the need for a sarc tag.

But, I have given in to my habit of never including a sarc tag when after leaving comments, headlines,that were so outlandish as to feel confident no one could possibly take seriously. I would get people complaining or asking about it as if it were real or serious and after feeling guilty, cringing at the thought of how embarrassed they felt being fooled into believing it, I put an end to it.

It’s the kind of headline you read, identify as an attempt at humor, and in the back of your mind say “please, let it be true”.
