Writer Tom Wolfe coined (or maybe had discovered) the term “Mau Mauing” as a verb describing black activists using intimidation tactics when dealing with their enemies. Disrupting a news conference would be a good example of Mau Mauing. His political essay “Mau Mauing the Flak Catchers was where I learned this term.
