I was referring to his courage in dropping the bomb that ended the nonsense....I never said he didn’t make mistakes, he was a Democrat after all.
Truman did the right thing with the A bombs but it would have been hard to have not done so and condoned the resultant slaughter of the invasion.
It doesn’t say much in favor of FDR when a tremendous number of people knew about or at least suspected the bomb development but he keeps it from his own vice president.
