California Democratic State Senator Ricardo Lara of Long Beach, CA hailed the passage of SB-1159, lifting citizenship requirements to the state's Business and Professions code. The bill first proposed by the California Democrat in February of this year, will allow illegal aliens to obtain all professional licenses, including the practice of medicine. Senator Lara, long tied to Latino activist groups long-cited for racist attitudes and rhetoric against white, black and Asian Americans, celebrated the passage with an announcement on Twitter.
The bill is largely a "red pen" measure in which Lara and his allies in Sacramento simply amending current California codes to remove any references to citizenship or legal immigration status as a precursors for obtaining business and professional licenses in order to practice. The move in yet another step in a desire by far-left Democrats and race-specific interest groups to usurp constitutional statutes and effectively create an "open borders" society. Eradicating the concept of the "citizen" has long been the agenda of Lara, who has been tied to La Raza Unida (The Race United), MEChA (Movimiento Estudiantil Chicano de Aztlán) and various other race-based special interest groups.
Senator Lara's office was involved in two separate scandals earlier this year involving staff conduct and hanging pictures of a racist and derogatory nature in his Senate offices. On one occasion constituents had appeared at his Sacramento offices to meet with the State Senator but were unable to speak either to he or his staff, as they were in the midst of a "Hamburger Mary's" pot-luck. Hamburger Mary's is an open-air bar and restaurant which caters largely to the gay and lesbian community, of which Lara count himself a member. Rather than be met by the Senator or his staff, they were greeted by a drag-queen. On another occasion this month, constituents who went to his office to speak to him about SB-1159 were upset to find racially derogatory pictures mounted to the walls in the lobby and asked for them to be removed. In both cases, cameras recorded the incidents and were available on YouTube.

Senator Lara is also actively involved in an effort to slow the process of English immersion and assimilation for immigrant school children, which many educators and experts argue limits future opportunities for these individuals and draw on data which suggests increases the likelihood the child will drop out of school. Many conservatives and even some Democrats have argued that far-left factions benefit from keeping Latino constituents English skills limited, and exploit this for political and financial gain.
Stanford University professor emeritus of education Michael Kirst agreed, "The language barrier is still a serious risk factor for Hispanics." He went on to add, "the odds of completing high school, and particularly college, significantly drops."
Critics of Senator Lara tie the passage of SB-1159 with his desire to keep Latinos from mastering English, citing that the watering down of citizenship requirements will mean that many lower-income Hispanic families may be put at risk from individuals practicing medicine who have providing fraudulent credentials. Given that these new "physicians" will be illegal aliens, and as such undocumented, the legitimacy of their medical certifications is of great concern. These critics argue that while the Lara is very vocal as a champion of Latinos, his agenda is driven by a desire to appease out-of-mainstream radical groups who provide him with funding and grass-roots support. With California politics firmly in the hands of Democrats, it is likely that Lara's bill to allow illegal aliens to practice medicine will soon become law of the land.

Just wonderful.
Boycott California.
good they can “practice” on each other
I can’t wait to leave this state.
What’s a Gringo to do?
Will they be required to take the US Medical boards like we made the Cuban doctors do during the Mariel boatlift?
Makes sense to me, illegal aliens already import plenty of opiates into the state.
Sedition. When are we going after these foreign representatives for sedition?
This will cut into the shyster medical practices in Tijuana, the hacks can now make house calls in CA.
Very sad.
doc1019: In California? I seriously doubt it. This is about votes. The safety of the citizens (and that includes Latinos) is not the concern of these rats.,
This is like the mexican park peddlers that get a pass on vending laws.
I’m waiting for the bill that California will pass that states that an illegal family may evict from, and take ownership of, the house of their choice (without paying the rightful owners).
Unfortunately you are probably right.
Ya just hafta truly love the insanity of the Rats!
Gotta hand it to them, they are as tactically brilliant as they are evil.
On the other hand, let the buyer beware. (I wonder if constitutionally indefensible Obamacare Democratcare would force citizens to use illegal alien doctors? In fact, there was a concern of a shortage of doctors w/Democratcare.)
Can we just expel California from the union? Wasn’t it suppose to fall into the sea anyway? Sorry Jimrob, your welcome in Nebraska anytime. May have to bug out if Obama friends come for a visit.
First, VOODO ECONOMICS. Now VOODOO MEDICINE.
WHO KNEW< VOODOO<OBAMA DOO!
