Because while according to the BLS survey employers have almost never had more open positions, they have also decided to put an abrupt stop to hiring, something which certainly points to a major disconnect in the US labor market. In fact, according to the JOLTS report, its far less tracked "Hirings" number plunged from 4,934K to just 4,640K. This was the lowest number of monthly hiring since January's "Polar Vortex" ground the economy to a halt. What's worse, the 294K plunge in monthly hiring was the biggest monthly drop since June 2010, and was the third biggest monthly plunge in hiring since Lehman!

Just remember ALL the numbers are ‘adjusted’ IE: Changed to show what the man in the White House wants shown.
The numbers, RAW numbers have been showing 0 or very small increases in hiring. New jobs are practically non-existant since 2008 and we have yet to recover all the jobs lost since 2010. So in reality, none of the numbers can be trusted as they are all lies!

Yes, and those that are available are part-time. This is rarely reported. On Fox Business, they did point to the fact that income from wages are way down (I'm sure there is some technical term for it). Well, if you had a full-time job at one time, and now the only available jobs around are part-time, then your income from wages is going to go down.
Also, I believe the percentage of people who are not working (of working age) is very high right now.
But wait, how can this be? How can US hiring plummet most since 2010?

But I can't begin to afford to hire them right now. And when Obama's "Ebola Panic 2015" really sets in in 2-3 months, I may have to lay off a couple.
All segments better off now though. Yeah, right.
