Several people. And I’ve been in a fistfight myself, right here in Texas, at work, with a rowdy on the paint crew. I was a ditch-digger at an oil refinery. No alcohol, as I’ve never touched the stuff in my life. But that’s the kind of occurance that was once normal, everyday americana. It just happens from time to time.

Or rather, it used to, before America devolved into a citizenry of wimpish, spineless, metrosexual delitantes who are too afraid to stand up or get into a fray. Especially if one saw one of their family members being pummelled and punched-out by three dudes. My God, I surely would not want to be a relative of yours, if you’d be standing by, whimpering “oh, dear!” on the sidelines like ZaSu Pitts, clutching at an embroidered hanky.

Sarah Palin and her family are the type of people I’d want to share my foxhole with, as I’d know they’d have my back. Not something I could say about many politicians or leaders out there, other than maybe Ted Cruz and Allen West. These people actually have gonads. Which is not only in short supply these days in the gutless GOP, but throughout the whole damned country. They are welcome throwbacks to when America actually used to be great.

What I find particularly hilarious about this story is that when it first came out, the vast majority of Mrs. Palin’s fans insisted it couldn’t be true, and that it was just another made up tale. THEN, when it proved to be true after all, she became a hero because her drunken kids mixed it up with the locals, and her husband jumped in to help. Clearly the woman can do no wrong.

A good portion of what WAS reported wasn’t true. Pretty obviously so. But you still seem to believe it and frame it the way the anti-Palin bloggers and the lib media reported it. I guess you also believe Palin faked her pregnancy to Trig, and was a cocaine-snorting, adulterous, crack-whore who had affairs with black basketball players too. And that Todd is some kind of Wasilla pimp kingpin. And every other bit of laughably idiotic nonsense that the psychotic anti-Palin nutjobs have written about her.

No. Only the one about the affair with Glenn Rice. That one I believe because its very plausible. Not the other crap.

That Glen Rice nonsense? Initiated by the same psycho anti-Palin blogger crowd. Joe McGinniss latched onto it, and calculatedly asked only THREE questions of Rice, beginning with “what do you think of Palin” and ending with “did she ever express to you any qualms about sleeping with black guys?” A line of three deliberately leading questions to ‘imply’ that something sexual happened between them. McGinniss never even directly asked if they had sex! Because he was specifically laying to groundwork to ‘imply’ something happened, by that calculated line of three limited questions.

If anything happened between the two, he would have asked 50 questions, 100 questions. Lots of detailed questions. And devoted a chapter in his book to it. But no, he asked THREE leading questions, designed to make it sound like something happened, and then postulated/fantasized on the scenario. That was what he put in his book. Then, when McGinniss went on tv to sell his lie-filled book, he claimed it as a fact. One of the most outlandish examples of journalistic scumbaggery imagineable.

Figures you’d buy into that. It had about as much credibility as Kitty Kelly’s book claiming Nancy Reagan was bedding Frank Sinatra in the White House when he visited.

This kind of thing (no matter what exactly happened) is not what I expect of political leaders.

It sounds as if all were drinking and they did not know the people who were at this party.....

Not good

Defending Palin is fine if thats what you want to do.....

but I think this was not the smartest move she and her family have ever made.
And I would have thought that by now they could see trouble coming from miles away.

Sorry but it makes me question her judgement

You are just being obstinate. Glad you are the picture of modest perfection, never ever attending any event where a person might have a drink.

And knock off the silly talk, there is nothing to this story that suggests someone ‘doesn’t like’ him/them. What a foolish thing to say. Nevermind ‘bigdaddy’ I’ll let you crawl back atop your perch from where you judge all below you.

We almost had a fist fight at a family Christmas party. The only thing that kept it from escalating was the fact that it was early afternoon and no one had been drinking.

I would venture to guess that every weekend somewhere in America a brawl breaks out. No one gets shot and it's all over and done with by Monday. Small town America.

“it appears no one wanted to file charges against the Palins.”

Wonder why?

Since it didn’t happen as the anti-Palin blogger described it?

Here’s the report.

...

Good grief. That’s worse than the stuff I’ve seen from the blogger.

Still seems to me that some at the party were planning some sort of setup and ambush on one or more of the Palins. Made the top-of-the-news very quickly.

It highlights just another reason why I gave up all alcoholic drinks in 1988. Sometimes made me belligerent, like it does Bristol.

Steven Lebida, whom Blake found bleeding from his eye and nose as Lebida left the party, said he had tripped and fallen on the pavement. Lebida refused to speak to police about what had happened.

He fell off a swing and then his dog ate his harddrive?

She was a young, attractive sportscaster. He was a basketball player, and by all accounts is a real nice guy. Neither party ever denied it. It’s plausible to me. And relax, it was a one-night stand; not exactly the crime of the century. I’m sure Mrs. Palin’s honor can take the hit.

You obviously seem to get your sicko jollies out of believing something so patently ludicrous, and coming from the most left-wing and disreputable sources... crap which was deliberately concocted to smear and to cater to the hate-rape fantasies of Bill Maher type libs who get off on the whole thought of some conservative Christian woman, being a moral hypocrite, driven by mad festishes, having her vagina ripped apart by some big black mutant. You’re just as sick and degenerate as they are.

In 2008, the LA Times and the Washington Post sent slews of ‘legit’ reporters up to Alaska, seeking any kind of dirt or character flaws they could find on Palin. They interviewed hundreds of people, covering her life from elementary school to high school to college to mayorship, and everything between. Down the most minor people who fleetingly crossed paths with her. Page after page of endless interviews, and posted online. Hilariously minor and mundane stuff. Tales of college in which she was a reserved, conservative gal, who’d quickly offer to pray with friends over their personal losses, who expressed to her friends her dreams of becoming a journalist and getting married and starting a family with her boyfriend back in Alaska. Page after page of such mundane stuff, but it revealed her good, decent and religious character. and these reporters who salivated for anything even slightly unseemly, couldn’t find a thing.

But, no, you choose to believe some thoroughly vile, left-wing smear-merchant with a documented history of duplicitous use of lies, fake anonymous sources, and half-truths. A man who called Palin a Nazi, and was determined to attack and smear her and her family with a bucket of obvious (to anyone with common sense) lies, that even the New York Times editors balked at.

You get on a high-horse about drinking and a little rowdy brawl, while getting some gross, degenerate sexual kick out of a patently phony left-wing attack on Palin. You really, really revulse me.

Geez, project much? No jollies here. Just perfectly understandable. And Glen Rice is a “big black mutant”? Really? Got some inside information the rest of us aren’t privy to? Got some pics on your hard drive?

You seem to have put Mrs. Palin on quite a pedestal. On the one hand she’s a “reserved, conservative gal”, on the other hand she’s “drinking and involved in a rowdy little brawl”. She’s not perfect. Just an imperfect human being like the rest of us.

Yeah, it is a sore spot with me. Because if the ruling elites and their minions in the media can successfully conspire to totally smear and destroy any potential leader of good, conservative character, using an endless streams of lies, I see no hope for America. It makes the whole political scene moot. McGinniss and his effort was just one loathesome pebble in a much larger picture, just like the way Hollywood spent millions to produce that HBO movie to show Palin as some kind of mentally-deranged diva, another smear. Or the way the media immediately tried to place blame of the Tucson mass-murder directly onto Palin, leading to over a 100,000 death-threats to her and her family.

And that is the ultimate conclusion that I arrived at, that the American citizenry is so weak and morally depraved, it just sops this nonsense up. This country is ready for the ash-heap.

Oh boy, here we go again with your Palin-bashing. Personally, I’d have someone running the country who isn’t afraid to get into a brawl, instead of the RINO wussies who are petrified of getting dirt under their fingernails.
