Obama Defiant And Delusional

Early last month President Obama declared that while he wasn’t on the ballot his policies were. Now that the Republicans have won seven, soon to be nine, Senate seats and hold the largest House majority they’ve had since the 1920’s, the President doesn’t want to read the election tea leaves. Rather than concede defeat, the President yesterday gave a defiant and ungracious press conference. It seems that the President believes that his policies weren’t rejected by the American public. Instead, the Democrats lost because 2/3 of the country didn’t bother to vote. The assumption of course is that if those people had just shown up to vote the Democrats would have won across the board. Worse, Obama appears as though he plans on governing as though those people support him. In short, the President is setting up a massive battle with Congress.

On one hand Obama appears completely disconnected from the American public. He really seems to have no clue as to why the Democrats lost on Tuesday. He didn’t just blame people for not voting, he blamed poor messaging by the Democrats. Obama doesn’t seem to recognize that part of the Democrats problem was his governing over the last six and specifically the last two years. He’s blaming everyone but himself for the Democrats defeat, even going so far as to blame voters. He honestly believes that 2008 was a complete repudiation of the conservative worldview when in reality it was nothing more than a rejection of the Bush administration and in particular the Iraq War.

Obama and the progressive left do not believe that the conservative worldview is legitimate. Thus Obama doesn’t quite know what to do with the Democrats defeat. He seems to be following the advice of Katrina vanden Heuvel of The Nation who has suggested Obama hit back at the Republicans with a steady dose of in your face progressive policies. It was pretty obvious yesterday that the President plans some sort of unilateral amnesty. Republicans were invited to pass a bill to lend support to his plan after he’s signed off on it via an executive order. The Constitutional scholar in the White House apparently has no idea how the American government is set up. The President is not a dictator and the Congress doesn’t act as a body that legitimizes executive action after it already takes place.

If Obama goes forward with unilateral amnesty he’ll destroy any shot he has of getting anything done with the Republican Congress. This is likely his goal, he seems to think his fortunes will increase if he’s battling the GOP. The Republicans should largely ignore the President’s antics. The new Congress should not take unilateral amnesty lightly, they should however refuse to fund it. Beyond that the Republicans should come up with a 10 point plan focusing on tax reform, healthcare reform, regulatory reform, term limits and balanced budgets. During the first three months of the new Congress the Republicans should send a bill up to Obama every week. The bills should be a clear set of conservative objectives. Let Obama veto them. The President isn’t going to be willing to compromise with the GOP and as such he should be ignored. He’s a lame duck, he’s irrelevant.

What matters now is showing the public that the Republicans have a clear agenda and a clear plan for governing. This is about 2016, Obama doesn’t matter anymore. Yes, his defiant attitude is annoying and his unilateral actions illegal. Republicans shouldn’t be worried about any of that. This President’s unilateral actions have largely been overturned unanimously by the Supreme Court. No other President has been unanimously overturned as often as Obama, so Republicans shouldn’t spend an inordinate amount of time on his illegal unilateral expansions of executive power. Obama imagines he can rally the country to his side, he really believes the country is far more to the left than it really is. Let him live in his world of delusion along with the gang at The Nation. The Republicans should be focused on the big prize in 2016 and that prize can be won if they play their cards right in the next six months.

Obama's depressing presser yesterday regurgitated the prog/lib delusions: There is still a Republican minority but Boobamba says it was obscured by "the majority" that stayed home and did not vote.

Watta guy---now he's Karnak---he can see through men's minds and he knows all of those who stayed home really, really love him.......and are hard and fast supporters of his policies.

======================================

REALITY CHECK Yesterday’s news conference was Exhibit A ----Obama is a delusional narcissist, unfit for office.

He could not disguise it----he was seething w/ rage.

Being rejected was not supposed to happen---none of his advisors "told him" America could go to the polls and actually vote against the policies he, himself, asserted were on the ballot.

Since prog/libs have no moral compass, recognize no limis on their behavior----and are driven by vanity and egotism---his undisguised wrath knows no bounds.

That means we, the people, are in danger every minute he still has power.

For this strategy to be effective, the bills must be very clear, not Christmas Tree wish-lists loaded up with pork. I have no reason to believe that the GOP will resist this temptation now that they have majorities in both houses of Congress.

Obama never did care for that “of the people, by the people and for the people” concept.

Betcha this keeps Boobamba up at night:

T'aint just total control of Congress....

<><> Republican wins down-ticket were all-encompassing....they control 69 of 99 state legs---one is bicameral.

<><> Republicans control 33 governorships---important for 2016 since governors control party machines.

<><> Another Boobamba dream dashed---Texas is redder than ever.

<><> Republicans could actually gain anoher seat--- NJ Democrat Menendez is under investigation---when he goes Gov Christie appoints a Republican.

Like a defiant, snarling rodent driven into a box or corner from which there is no escape except through the entity confronting it.

An adrenalin-charged creature sometimes just might break out of that corner, on sheer ferocity alone.

Wolverines can manage to break out against a much larger creature like a bear. Even a grizzly has been known to back away in such a confrontation.

Current Occupant has much less bravado than a wolverine.

Smelling fear and blood....

interesting that he said “congress will send me bills that I will veto, and I will enact exective orders they wont like”. wow. so his idea of working with new congress is to ignore them, and do what he likes.

The alleged plan to begin with Keystone Pipeline is a good tactic. It has widespread bilateral support, is noncontroversial (in the real world), and is a clear, understandable benefit to the American people. Obama's response to this will expose his posture for the rest of the next two years.

Obama Defiant And Delusional

No surprise. Been that way for the last six years. The American people stopped listening to him a long time ago, recognizing him for the fool he is.

I think sending the 357 bills on Reid’s desk should keep him busy for the next two years.

With 2/3 of the country’s backing - he has a pretty good mandate for continuing the transformation of the country to his socialist choomland. Maybe I’ll just sign up for medical maryjane.

Watch for the media to continue the 66% victory meme in hopes we all forget what happened.

Loved Britt Hume’s comment last night (his comments are usually RINO).

Regarding O’s repeated comment about “hearing the 2/3 who didn’t vote”, Britt said, “Apparently he wants us to believe that among his other magical powers he has the ability to hear what those who aren’t speaking are saying......”

Another commentator noted “I’m wondering how he would conclude that 2/3 of the non-voters would support him when there is no poll to support that.....”

Two great “touche’s”.........

We are in grave and imminent danger. And if the past is any predictor of the future, we have only ourselves to depend upon.
