This guys gets paid *money* to research a topic and in spite of what the research finds, he just makes up a bunch of crap to fit his preconceived idea?

I guess that’s a pretty sweet gig, if you can get it. Sure beats working for a living...

Is there any group in the history of the world more privileged than Parker, his colleagues and audience?

European Royalty?

...but if there is a contest, the results would be extremely close.

I just love reading comments made by clueless folks basking in the freedom they cannot appreciate, that allows them to wax poetic about everything they love to hate, but would be gallows bait in many other venues.

Frankly Scarlett, I loved your rant.

Can I play? Look what happens when you take the good professor's conclusions and apply them to different groups:

According to him, it is this fear, primarily emanating from people who are privileged in the social order, which is the driver behind of reactionary movements like the Occupy Movement. Much of Parker’s latest research dealt with the nature of the dialogue used in Occupy circles. He found that many of the articles on Occupy websites, and several personal statements by Occupy supporters, revolved around conspiracy theories and irrational fear over the actions of the Koch brothers. This, Parker argued, differs greatly from the type of speech that was observed on more mainstream liberal sources.

"The pseudo-conservative believes a vast and sinister conspiracy … is in motion to undermine and destroy his way of life.”

The true Conservative sees, with utmost clarity, the vast and sinister conspiracy that is in motion to undermine and destroy all that is decent and good.

Chris Parker

Note the undertone of violent oppression. Anyone who disagrees with a liberal is either criminal or insane. Such people must be shut up and locked up.

This is the way Hitler started with the Jews.

For most of their history, the privileges of European royalty were counterbalanced by their immense responsibilities and a quite considerable chance of losing their lives in combat or by assassination, the only way at the time of effectively expressing political dissent. IOW, there was a Price for their Privilege.

In the declining years of monarchy, of course, the Privilege remained but the Price largely went away.

Thanks for the kind words.

I once attended a Mensa meeting where a guy cornered me to explain his idea that Mensans should be put in charge of the world because they’re so much smarter than everybody else.

A little questioning revealed that we had very different ideas on the destination, so how could we possibly agree on a method for getting there?

Precisely. The KKK were the paramilitary wing of the Democrat Party. Someone in the audience should have pointed this out and asked how a group of political violence enforcers of the Dem party were like a group of citizens concerned about over-taxation and trying to do something about it.

These repeated smears of the TEA Party movement amount to a Goebbelian Big Lie from the Left. It is reprehensible and unacceptable, and these lies should be refuted at every turn.

I wonder what this learned professor thinks about the late Senator Robert “Kleagle” Byrd (D-KKK)?

If you tell a lie loudly enough, often enough and with enough conviction it becomes truth.

The NAZI motto on propaganda. The Demo-fascists not only incorporate the remnants of the KKK but also support many fascist goals and use fascist tactics. In fact old Joe Kennedy, the old gangster/bootlegger thought we should have joined Hitler rather than fight him. Unfortunately the Demo-fascists have been in charge of history.

“A little questioning revealed that we had very different ideas on the destination, so how could we possibly agree on a method for getting there?”

I think I would question the motives of anyone wanting to rule a country much less the world. Knowing what we do about human nature. Another superb revelation regarding the Founding Fathers and their attempts to secure a government that understood and accounted for human nature.

...and I was speaking of the era of royal responsibility where one could very easily lose their head literally.

What exactly are these leftists in the social order?

http://www.zombietime.com/breasts_not_bombs/

These leftist professors and their ilk are the definition of a privileged social order that because of their political alignment are given credibility by the media and among their peers that is not merited. Imagine if left wing freak show protests were covered in the negative fashion that the Tea party has been?

The Tea Party is compared to the KKK and John Birch? Maybe John Birch (because of anti communism activities), but not the Democrat Party’s KKK.
