A number of high profile TV news anchors quietly met with Ferguson, Missouri police officer Darren Wilson in hopes of securing an interview with him, CNN's Brian Stelter reported Sunday.
Wilson fatally shot Michael Brown, an unarmed black teenager, in August, sparking months of protests. A grand jury in the St. Louis suburb is currently deliberating whether to indict Wilson over Brown's death, and is expected to issue a decision in the near future.
Wilson has not given any interviews since the August shooting, and has not publicly commented on Brown's death.
According to Stelter, the anchors who held off-the-record meetings with Wilson in hopes of booking his first interview include ABC's George Stephanopoulos, CBS' Scott Pelley, CNN's Anderson Cooper and Don Lemon, and NBC's Matt Lauer.

Darren Wilson turned down interviews with News Readers from channels that kept posting pictures of Michael Brown as a 13-year-old? That never printed security cam photos of Brown’s strong-arm robbery of a store? That never for a minute even questioned Wilson’s absolute guilt? That fanned the flames of looting and rioting?

As for Wilson, I’d start a bidding war. How about 5 million for an exclusive interview, and a written contract that the winner will pay any lawsuit Wilson loses, and legal expenses whether he wins or loses?

He doesn’t need to be interviewed. They can talk to the few eyewitnesses to the event and get there take on it. Then get statements from people that say that they were there but weren’t.
After 55 minutes of pro-Brown stuff they can state “CBS invited Officer Wilson to an interview, but he refused.”
He’s probably desperate for income; he’ll have this following him for the rest of his life. He will need money to start over in life and build a new future for himself.
The MSM will not give Officer Darren Wilson a fair interview because they have tried him in the court of public opinion and have found him guilty. The best thing to say is “No comment”. The MSM will trash you either way, but there’s no sense in giving them ammunition.
“OK, Officer Wilson, here’s the deal. Give me the interview and I won’t reveal where you are staying!”
Just triggered a thought: Why not let slip a false location for Officer Wilson, stake it out and arrest the swarms of thugs sure to show up?
