The pressure on Venus is tremendously different than the pressure on the surface of the Earth.

One of the first space probes, sent by the Russians, was crushed like a beer can underneath the foot of THE HULK when it landed on Venus.

Right. That is why he took the temps at an altitude on Venus where the pressure was 1k millibars (same as the pressure on the surface of the Earth).

Take away the increase in temps due to solar proximity, and the temps are equal to Earth's.

Mind. Blown.
