The question on everyone’s mind - does this lead to war?

They didn’t go to war when the Soviet Union collapsed,
but this is different.

I don’t think war would help anyone

Yes, this is ‘different’. This is already a war, an economic war between the euphemistically named ‘federal reserve’ globalist banking oligarchs and those who do not want to sell their economies to these evil bastards. Watch for more bankers to ‘commit suicide’.

I watched the USSR collapse. One thing during live coverage stuck with me that I’ve never seen anyone else mention:
It collapsed because gov’t workers didn’t get paid. No paycheck, no work, no government. Wasn’t that they were paid in devalued currency, they just weren’t paid.

This time, the currency is still flowing but its value is shrinking.

Yes, I think this time it will lead to war.

I think it could lead to war.

Oil is at the source of this; and where is all of the oil? The Middle East. Iran is hurting from the oil prices too, and they just happen to be allied with Russia.

With a depleted US presence in the region, maybe with help from Russia, Iran might take a notion to ‘acquire’ oil fields in Kuwait, Iraq, and Saudi Arabia. Syria may just join in for the fun of it, because they are allied with Iran and Russia. China could be looking at this with great interest as well.

This could get VERY ugly, and FAST.

They didn’t go to war when the Soviet Union collapsed, but this is different.

When the Soviet Union collapsed, their leader was Gorbachev - by Soviet standards a peaceful man who was not willing to get as violent as would have been necessary to hold the country together. When the Soviet Union collapsed, our leader was Reagan's successor, G. H. W. Bush, a man they respected because they had respected Reagan. War was not an option.

Today, their leader is Putin, a strong man with (for now) high popularity and respect in Russia. Today, our government's leader is Barack Obama, the weakest, most anti-American threat in our country's history. Russia's decision on war will be based exclusively on Russian interests; any interference by the United States is certain to be ineffective. Objective circumstances matter, and those circumstances don't get more extreme than our current leadership crisis.

The Kremlin have little debt compared to their GDP. In fact, they have enough dollars to convert the entire economy to dollars if they want.

If the Russians are not buying imports, they are fine. Of course, the Russians import everything.

I see them defending their currency, siding up with Iran to rattle Saudi Arabias boots a little bit, and finding a way to poke us in the eye.

We seem to be worried about movies.

Russia is aware there are bigger issues in the world.

Russia has a whole heap of nuclear and chemical weapons.

Maybe Rosh goes to war out of desperation, not lust.
