Culture: In remarks at a prayer meeting Thursday, President Obama implied Christianity, just like Islam, is filled with people who "hijack religion for their own murderous ends." This is the progressive disease of moral equivalence at its worst.
In recent days and weeks, the world has watched grimly as the horrific barbarity of fundamentalist Islam has been put on full display.
With routine beheadings, crucifixions, tortures, mass killings of civilians, burying children alive, and, most recently, burning a prisoner alive and filming his death agony to the approving yells of onlookers, it's clear something is horribly wrong within Islam. And yet, apart from rather routine denunciations of the savagery, Obama used his appearance at a National Prayer Breakfast to upbraid Christians for their sins. "Unless we get on our high horse and think this is unique to some other place, remember that during the Crusades and the Inquisition, people committed terrible deeds in the name of Christ," Obama said. "In our home country, slavery and Jim Crow all too often was justified in the name of Christ."
The remarks aren't merely insulting. They betray a deep ignorance of Western Judeo-Christian culture and its history.

I don’t think it’s ignorance.
He looked to me like an early 1930’s Nazi in Germany talking to a Jewish leaders group.
He’s building a rhetorical foundation he will use to support soon coming actions (next year or so).
In all my life (I’m 61) I’ve never felt so strongly that I have a president that is working AGAINST our country. I’ve disagreed with many on what they were doing, but I’ve never seen one where he seems to be acting strongly AGAINST america’s interests.
The dumbing down of America is all part of the plan.
Every once in a while, Obama’s mask slips. Observe his face as he spoke these words of condemnation of Christians. It looked like hate.
I think he is going to get more and more bold as he realizes his time is short. Holy cow the next two years are going to be interesting and, if one is not a Christian, terrifying.
Obama's Progressive "vision" has several major flaws:

<><> failing to see the existence of evil---Obama equates today's in-your-face Islamic barbarism w/ far-off events that his diseased mind regurgitates from a 1000 years ago.
<><> failing to accept that fact of America's exceptionalism---Obama has managed to extinguish a beacon that lit the entire world.
<><> failing to grow-up---the fact is he's no longer a campus radical itching for a confrontation in the dean's office.

America has witnessed the tragic consequences of a generation inculcated with moral relativity and situation ethics. The ghost of Saul Alinsky lurks behind the Progressive Poison spewed by Obama, Hillary Clinton, and the rest of their ilk.
The Dumbos clearly see themselves as "deconstructionists"----savagely committed to tearing down America's traditions. Every maniacal official govt act is dedicated to chipping away at the bulwark of American freedoms.
Obama put cadres of self-absorbed punks who are squatting in govt---imbedded in the Civil Service system. They are clearly disturbed and dysfunctional---obsessed with religious cleansing and kicking religionists to the curb.
Their motto: "Everything For Us--Nothing For You."
That same generation inculcated with moral relativity and situation ethics has segued into The Entitlement Generation---better known as "Pay Me--I'm a Victim.
The Obamas, The Clintons, the De Blasios, and the rest of the Progressive savages, are ruthless predators w/ no empathy for others and no remorse. They are anti-social psychopaths who recognize no moral boundaries--aggressively going after what they want, irregardless of the consequences to others.

Enough said, you can drop the “Western Civilization” portion. He is definitely ignorant and obviously missed any Western Civilization history classes.
He will say anything to divert attention from his Muslim brothers and their evil.

He went to high school in Hawaii. I think he was 10 when his mom abandoned him and sent him back to live with the grandparents. So I wouldn't blame the Indonesians. His attitudes and historical bias are homegrown. He is a red diaper baby who has spent his entire life marinating in left wing circles. I doubt that he has ever been challenged by anyone to think outside of the box of narrow, left-wing orthodoxy. He clearly still does not understand the arguments on the other side. And he holds his opponents in contempt, which is the reflexive left wing stance, but has no conception of his own (very large) areas of ignorance, or of how often he is simply exposing himself as an ignorant, self-absorbed fool.
Knowing what you don't know is important. So is understanding your opponents' point of view. Obama flunks on both counts.

I have disagreed with presidents all my life (62) but I have never hated one, not even Clinton. My hate for Obama is a feeling I have never had for anyone in my life. His is everything I feared he would be.

All in full view, yet people still make excuses for islam. The NAZI’s where nowhere near this upfront about the savagery and today people wonder how they got as far as they did. It’s simple, really, no one wants to know.
