Yes, you're exactly right. It's almost as if these stupid @$$h01e gun companies making them were just really giving them a pretext for it - which of course, begs the question about the Contender, etc. handguns which can be chambered for about any damn cartridge there is...

Those "AR handguns" are about as useful as tits on a boar hog anyway, so I hope they at least made a few bucks on them for the trouble they've enabled.

I purchased some of these 20 hours ago and then received an email more than an hour later saying they’re back-ordered. On CTD’s website there’s now a notice saying this item is not in stock and can’t be back-ordered.

Those particular rounds are already quite expensive.

Those 5.56 steel core ‘penetrators’ cost a ton. This will send their market price into the stratosphere. Need to go and take a look at gunbroker and see how crazy it has gotten already.

I wonder what the chances are of the Congress undoing this as a part of some unrelated bill that is of great enough importance, the president will let it go. I doubt a stand alone bill just for this would reach a veto-proof majority. Then again, perhaps not. Depends on how the debate is framed.
