We've been searching for our perfect property in Idaho for over a year in pursuing our desire to get out of Washington state before it goes completely off the tracks. In so doing I follow several local newspaper blogs and participate frequently. In just the last year I have seen the growing influence of liberals (especially from WA and CA). It never fails - after ruining where they live, they migrate to a nicer climate to ruin.

However, in Idaho, the population remains decidedly libertarian/conservative. It's just that like everywhere else the liberals are more outspoken and obnoxious.

You’ll find it. There’s plenty of property available in that state, and the prices are dirt cheap compared to Western WA. My folks just moved to ID for economic and political reasons.
