I guess I need to sharpen my sarcasm skills as I don’t agree with you on either.
I didn’t recognize it as sarcasm. I thought you were one of the enlightened ones. It is interesting to read all of the old FR Y2K threads. There always has to be some something out there that will take us back to the 1800’s....
I have learned the hard way that sarcasm in print can be exceptionally difficult to detect. Even in speech it can be elusive to some. I have said outrageous things, secure in my belief that no one could possibly take me literally, only to be met with scorn and derision from someone who took me seriously. Such people usually consider themselves too intelligent to fall for that absurd statement they just heard without realizing that the fact that they took it as an attempt to make them believe something so absurd rather than recognizing it as sarcasm only proves their own gullibility.
