Beyond Body Language: Carly Fiorina and Hillary Clinton
April 18, 2015 | vanity

Posted on 04/18/2015 1:36:05 AM PDT by Cincinatus' Wife

An interesting look at opposites.

On her worst day Carly Fiorina outshines Hillary Clinton.

Fiorina can discuss hard facts and choices without sounding shrill and disconnected, like Mrs. Clinton does.

They're both grandmothers. I think Fiorina's grandchildren got the best of the bargain between these two women.

SERIOUS and SUBSTANTIVE:

- Bret Baier Interview With Carly Fiorina 9:00 that will hold your interest.

SUPERFICIAL and SECRETIVE:

- Kara Swisher Interview With Hillary Clinton 30:00 "..get people into a nice warm purple space."

If she sticks to her role as Hillary attack dog, I have no problem with her running. She won’t pull votes from Ted Cruz. If she seriously thinks she should be President, she as nutty as the rest of CA.

Fiorina lost to Boxer.

You aren’t from California I suppose. She did not show any spine against Boxer.

She should try and run for Senate again. Because there is no incumbent there is and outside shot she could win.

I have appreciated Fiorina speaking about her pro-life stance.

But for the life of me I thought she had run as pro-choice (she didn’t, I looked it up) she ran that much as a moderate or stealth conservative.

Oh, she’s a capable woman, I agree with that. Very smart.

I’m going to disagree with you on her capability as a politician. I don’t think it makes us look good. Did you ever see her “demon sheep” ad? No, she’s got a place, and it’s not doing politics for our side. A female Ben Carson, if you will.

Brett Baier is a nincompoop. I tend to ignore most of those kind of dog-and-pony shows.

Hey, I apologize if I came on too strong. I’ve lurked for a long time and like your posts. Perhaps I make the mistake of being too opinionated.

I hope there are no hard feelings. I know I’m a newb.

“On the national stage Carly would do more to attract votes for a candidate like Cruz.”

That there lays the crux of the matter.

The statement is delusional, as I’m sure you know, but it’s truth is of no importance.

There is one part of the Republicans who loathe Ted Cruz and Sarah Palin and Michelle Bachmann etc...

So they try and manufacture a Republican woman politician with gravitas to use to discuss Clinton that they don’t find distasteful. And they think it is somewhat possible that liberal leaning wives and girlfriends may vote for someone other than Hilary if there is a woman who is like them who criticizes Hillary.

It’s a too clever by half approach that continues in the tradition of Mitt Romney the Candidate who can’t lose.

Is this serious? Fiorina is a joke candidate and just makes us look bad.

You are wrong. Don't misunderstand, Carly Fiorina is not going to be our nominee, although, I like her. But, she can do something that the male candidates cannot. She can take the fight to Hillary! and point out all of the failures, which is pretty much everything HRC touches.

IOWs, she can criticize her, because she is also female. The male candidates would be raked over the coals for saying the stuff that Carly says about HRC. And, that is what she is there for -- to be the Republican voice counteracting whatever Hillary is saying. And doing it with passion and some humor.

I was there too. I still have my Carly for Senate tee shirt. She didn’t have much of a chance against Boxer.

Meg Whitman lost by a larger margin in California and was a true disaster in every way, and was Romney’s creation and ace in the hole.

Of the 2, Fiorina is clearly superior to Meg Whitman. It was Whitman who was the bigger RINO and Whitman that got her a** kicked.

Carly Fiorina does indeed make us look good plus, she can fault Hillary when no male can for fear of being sexist. (I am very tired of that sexist excuse along with racist)...so to get relief from the Clinton Circus/MSM blitz I play this off and on, it is (good to laugh).

“.............David Carney, a veteran New Hampshire political strategist who is neutral in the 2016 race but whose wife works for Fiorina, told the Associated Press: “You see some candidates when they attack a woman come across very badly, but it’s not very awkward for Carly. She seems to pull it off very well.”

Indeed, well enough that liberals have been piling on Fiorina in an energetic effort to belittle her. Adrienne Elrod, a spokeswoman for a group set up to defend Hillary Clinton, recently called Fiorina “short on substance, with sophomoric one-liners.” The New Republic noted that Sarah Palin used to be called the GOP’s “Queen Bee” and then sneered that “it seems the GOP has finally found a new Queen: Carly Fiorina.”

Liberals also point out that while she was the first woman to ever helm a Fortune 20 company, her six-year tenure as the head of Hewlett Packard ended in her firing. “They will say I was let go by my board in 2005 and outsourced some jobs overseas,” she tells me. “But I took the company through the worst technology recession in a generation and created jobs on a net basis. As for the outsourcing, California’s tax and regulatory climate made it almost impossible not to do that — which is why we have to change it.” Fiorina claims that subsequent revelations — that her successor and the board members who fired her were embroiled in an internal spying scandal — help vindicate her tenure.

In fact, it was her experience in California that convinced her of big government’s power to destroy people. Fiorina told Glenn Beck that California’s current drought is a human-caused environmental disaster. “Despite the fact that California has suffered from droughts for millennia, liberal environmentalists have prevented the building of a single new reservoir or a single new water conveyance system over decades during a period in which California’s population has doubled.”.....

If you haven’t, watch her interview with Baier, then tell me how she makes us “look bad” or how Meg Whitman would do it better.

Failarina's biggest problem is her abysmal business track record. She has the destruction of HP hung around her neck and many will never forgive her for it. HP was on the downswing anyways, but her brutal, shortsighted incompetence running them the rest of the way into the ground has labelled her forever. And we aren't even talking about the rest of her career.

An incompetent CEO can ruin people's lives and Failarina did just that at HP for employees and shareholders alike.

“Carly Fiorina’s political future depends on whether she can defend her record as CEO of Hewlett-Packard.

The likely GOP presidential candidate is aiming to do just that in her new book Rising to the Challenge, set to be released May 5, a day after the expected launch of her 2016 campaign. Fiorina now claims the company’s decision to fire her in 2005, after a turbulent six-year tenure, was a result of a dysfunctional board of directors and not her leadership...............”

Phil's foreword: LibertarianLiz clearly states the true value of Carly Fiorina's stand-and-deliver performance:

Is this serious? Fiorina is a joke candidate and just makes us look bad.
