Help! I hate my kid's coach

Most of us have had a coach we just couldn't stand. Just the sight of him or her made you bleed as your incisors did jumping jacks on your bottom lip as you endeavored, sometimes unsuccessfully, to keep your mouth shut.

You can always remove the child from the team.

For a second there I saw that as “Help! I ate my kids homework”.
Then saw “ate the coach” which made me go O_o.
Then I started laughing.

Yes, I have seen some coaches that just needed to be launched from a trebuchet.
Not much you can do about it, usually.

ARE YOU INSANE??

What kind of comment is that? Doyou not understand this snowflake hates his kid’s coach? And your “SOLUTION” (snicker) is to take the kid off the team?

Look. The proper way to handle this is to create a safe space for the parent, the child and the city of Searchlight NV. And congressional hearings. And a woman on MSNBC to hang tampons off her ears.

Good god man...GROW UP!

;)

Thank Jesus for giving you the opportunity to practice patience and forbearance.

Yep, the child said they did not want to go back.... so don’t go back. Or if you do, explain in front of the team that since the coach has taken the fun out of the game and has lost sight of the fact that this is a game, that you and yours will not be returning.

It’s not about you.

Children need a safe zone, where they can be around other gentle souls. </sarc>

My daughter, who is now grown, told me that when she was young she used to get so mad at me when she fell and cried. I would go up to her, stand her back up, brush the dust off and gently swat her on the rear saying "no blood, keep going." (At night she would always cuddle in my lap and I would read to her, until she learned to read then she would read to me) She said that now she is grateful. That attitude I instilled in her helped her finish her first marathon and taught her to pick herself up in all that she does and falls short. She said she always hears me say "keep going."

How cute. You think it;s funny...

It is a sad state of affairs when people on a conservative site refuse to embrace the call of the era and admit that yes, Coach lives matter.

These people seem to be at crisis stage in their lives and yet you make sport of their...sport...or lack thereof...or inability ot...OH IT’S ALL SO CONFUSING!

We need Coach control legislation and it thinks it’s obvious we need it now. I’ma burn a city to the ground. Who’se with me YO?

;)

Not without a trebuchet anyway.

Today you’d be arrested for child endangerment. I rail on snowflakes but I feel bad for them in the sense that they never knew anything but the idiocy their parents and schools shoved on them in a bubblewrapped package.

Once they hit adulthood though, no mercy. We all have choices and the freedom to make’em..

What a great dad! Doing things that only dad’s understand! My wife and I get into arguments at times about how “mean” I can be to the kids.
The world is tough, and it’s Dad’s job to toughen kids up!

Or maybe you could volunteer to be an assistant coach and see how hard the job really is.

Oddly enough my wife and I had the very same discussions!

The one thing I know for sure is that when the SHTF nationally/globally, the kids raised to deal with problems are going to be in a lot better position to deal with it than those who are on Prozac because they are overwhelmed by the prospect of tying their shoes unassisted.

I had the misfortune to work with a complete snowflake/full blown liberal once. Posterboy type for everything wrong with the planet. All kidding aside, his parents (he was mid 20s) SHOULD have been shot at sunrise for what they did to him mentally. And for what he in turn, did to the sanity of anyone he came in contact with.

It likely won’t surprise anyone to know he was a reporter.

For those that didn’t read the article:

Dad, I don’t want to play anymore. Coach Mack hates me.”

“Maddy, he doesn’t hate you,” as you try to convince yourself as much as her. “Did you learn anything?

“Well, I learned what the high post is, and a back screen, cross screen, and down screen as well,” she says through the sobs that are diminishing into whimpers.

“Well that’s good. How does your skill level compare to the other girls on the team?”

I think I’m going to be a starter.

Imagine that your child has potential that you can see. Do you go with a nice friendly, easy going coach but hasn’t won a title in years? Or do you go with a coach that sees the potential that you do but knows only hard work will got get points on the board?

Yeah how old is he/she? If they are not 15 or better there are no scouts at the games.

Move them off the team.
