Must we accept that we are no longer the electorate and the elected, but the ruling and the ruled?
Only a virtuous people are capable of freedom. As nations become corrupt and vicious, they have more need of masters.- Benjamin Franklin
What has happened to the United States? Many say that it is a natural progression that is inevitable, but is it actually the breakdown of our morals, our ethics, our family structure and our school systems? Is it the inevitable chains of government, that have slowly but surely bound us with the very freedoms we claim to embrace?
In the name of progression, we have thrown out the very things that made this country great. Our leaders have shunned the very thought that the United States is a Christian Nation and our freedoms are slowly being taken from us on a daily basis. Government of the people, by the people, for the people, exists no more! We are now being ruled by the political elite who have adopted political correctness, as the new rule of law.

I've been stating this and restating this on FR for awhile however each time I do I get flamed and vilified as a sexist or worse for including feminism and the weaknesses of women into the mix. I once stated we as a nation would not have fallen nearly as far as we have, had women been denied the franchise. I agree with you completely in what you have stated and can't figure out what has happened at FR where stating a simple observable political truth brings a torrent of character defilement as a reply. Maybe it's because it is easier to just trash a writer personally, than it is to systematically deconstruct his argument. That takes intelligence, patience, and impulse control. All apparently in short supply these days, like ammo.
“Our Constitution was made only for a moral and religious people. It is wholly inadequate to the government of any other.” - John Adams
Absent the moral and religious, you cannot hire enough policeman.
policeman = policemen
I read your profile. Great story.
Feminism seems to destroy society at a pretty fast clip.
My mother worked when my pop got sick as a nurse.
My ex and current girlfriends had just as good or better jobs than me. But they never hurt me with it.
We took the traditional roles in the house, and I some of them would be thrilled to meet a man who makes enough that they can stay home and raise kids.
Nowadays, you pop out a kid and are back at work two weeks later with a stranger raising your child while you try to have everything.
Maybe it works. I don’t know. I’m wrong often :)
But it seems we have a lot of kids WITH BOTH parents that are screwed up. That wasn’t the case maybe back in the day.
