http://conservative-headlines.com/2007/10/conservative-huckabee/

Was Mike Huckabee “just like Bill Clinton?” Maybe, but some would actually say he was to the left of Bill Clinton. As Governor of Arkansas, Huckabee’s tax and spend record greatly exceeded former AR Gov. Bill Clinton. He even wanted to tax the internet.

Mike Huckabee is to the left of even Sam Brownback and John McCain on immigration. He claimed God wants us to give amnesty to millions of illegal aliens. As Governor of Arkansas he advocated letting illegal aliens vote.

While Huckabee is now lying and saying he is dedicated to fighting illegal immigration, his record is clear.

Fact #1. As Governor of Arkansas, Mike Huckabee denounced an immigration bill (Arkansas Senate Bill 206) that “would have required proof of citizenship to register to vote and would have required state agencies to report suspected cases of people living in the country illegally.”
(Doug Thompson, “Immigration Bill un-Christian..governor says”Arkansas News Bureau 1/28/05)

Fact #2. As Governor, Mike Huckabee offered a proposal to give state funded scholarships and state benefits to illegal aliens. (Laura Kellams, “Huckabee Plan would give aid to illegal aliens” Arkansas Democrat Gazette 1/12/2005)

Fact #3. Governor Huckabee supported the McCain-Kennedy Senate Amnesty bill for illegal aliens. Huckabee claims to know God’s position on the Amnesty Bill, and that God supports it. Huckabee has repeated called opponents of illegal immigration “racists” and/or “bigots.” Read Article. , Read Article #2

Fact #4. Governor Huckabee refuses to sign the “No Amnesty Pledge”.

I wouldn’t say abortion is worse than the holocaust. That is an unnecessary comparison anyway. I understand his point but it just seems wrong to compare.

I believe God has blessed America for which we owe Him thanks. As for guidance, I would not go that far. It was built by many people who had faith in Him. He guides people who are His. I would not say He has been doing much guiding lately because too many of our leaders are faith frauds at best. And our voters are in many ways fraud voters, too. We vote for whomever we think is closest to our own views and can trick enough voters into voting for him/her.

I still like Huckabee. Just sayin’.

I'm a member of the SBC and know many SBC'ers as well as SBC pastors.

Many are far to the Left of me, many veer decidedly close to outright Socialism for my money and others are quite left on lots of issues, i.e. gun ownership.

There are plenty that I'd never, ever vote for for President, Huckabee for one.

I ahve no argument with any of the material . His stated beliefs in the article are fine.

its when he expands his view of the world.... where he begins to lose perspective.
!
he doesn’t seem to understand the rights that God Gave us and why its vitally important that they be RESPECTED and Protected

TEN THINGS YOU NEED TO KNOW ABOUT MIKE HUCKABEE:

1. Soft-on-crime Governor who went on a pardon/commutation spree
2. Pro-instate-tuition for illegal aliens and other giveaways – poor record on immigration
3. Fiscal liberal Tax-and-spender as Governor
4. Dissembled about his record when challenged (pardons, taxes, ethics)
5. Not a conservative, hurt conservatives in Arkansas
6. Ethics issues, taking public money for private use
7. Flipflopper, on immigration, Cuba and other issues
8. An incompetent Jimmy Carteresque boob on foreign policy
9. Is a nanny-stater supporter of smoking bans and enviro-wacko CO2 caps
10. Fired the prosecutor who filed animal cruelty charges against his son David

Huckabee's Plethora of Pardons

Huckabee: Anybody with an IQ above Broccoli, knows I am a conservative

A plea from (an) Arkansas Christian conservative

I don’t want to use the word conspiracy, but …

Personally, I like Huck. I really do. He ran what I felt was a fairly entertaining (at times) television show and he's probably thekind of guy I wouldn't mind sitting next to at a picnic or BBQ.

But I don't want him anywhere near the levers of power, not just because of the pardoned murderers whom you listed that killed again, but the arrogant attitude it displays.

That attitude is that he has a special dispensation from God and that he knows best, the safety and economic welfare of his subjects be damned. Whether it is pardoning dangerous criminals or putting the interests of illegal aliens first, or issues of tax and spend, he is little different from a full-blown liberal, his solid stands on issues of social conservatism not withstanding.

As president, he would make a lot of noise about issues social conservatives care about but, in the end, he would cede the status quo to find common ground with liberals on issues where they agreed, namely, pardoning dangerous criminals, putting the interests of illegal aliens first, or issues of tax and spend.

I wouldn't say abortion is worse than the holocaust. Well, 3,300 babies slaughtered every day in the U.S.

Hitler did about 9,000,000 . . . Stalin did up to 60 million . . . Mao Tse Tung 49-78,000,000.

America's abortuaries . . . We do 3,300 daily . . . That's approx. 1,204,500 per year. Since 1973, that's at least 48,180.000 slaughtered. We're catching up to Mao.

That's what I call a Holocaust . . . a huge holocaust
