Amtrak engineer a homosexual and therefore protected by the American media?

The engineer of the death train was a homosexual and a gay activist who “liked several LGBTI pages on Facebook,” a gay news site. “The engineer who was involved in Tuesday night’s Amtrak train crash is Brandon Bostian,” says gaystarnews.com. Interesting now is how the media are equivocating and blaming those old meanies, the Republicans. One site commenter to the outing of this 32 year old engineer says, “the fact is a gay activist is untouchable in the main stream media. Once his sexual preference came out, the story started changing and the blame will go towards needing more money in the transportation industry. We shall never know the truth because the media is a failure!”

Incredible is the comment of another poster on the gay site who says Amtrak received a whopping $1.3 BILLION dollars in the 2009 stimulus fund give-away of our taxpayer dollars. This huge amount is ON TOP of the one BILLION dollar subsidy it receives every year. How come Amtrak in 2012 had the money to launch an expensive gay PRIDE advertising campaign, but somehow it could not have found the money for the smart technology the liberal media fools now are saying the white elephant needs?

Consider the following advertisement campaign Amtrak ran on its website. “This summer Amtrak Ride With Pride hosted a contest to send four lucky winners on a getaway PRIDE week-end via the train. Winners headed to Chicago, New York, San Francisco, New Orleans for a fun-filled week-end. Couples enjoyed the comfortable seats, had cocktails in the Lounge car, and arrived at the Amtrak stations refreshed and ready to enjoy the festivities.” A happy color photo of Aaron and Marc provided a warm and fuzzy shot of the affectionate couple being thrilled by riding the rails. If the guy weren’t gay, I suppose you would say the government isn’t paying enough attention to the attack, of whatever type, on the train so as to downplay terrorism.

I have no idea what you are talking about and don't try to put words in my mouth. You apparently aren't smart enough.

As a longtime Freeper, your four responses unravel me.

Forgive me for jumping to conclusions, but I'd like to actually see evidence his homosexualty has anything to do with the reason he seemingly either on purpose rolled the train or rolled it by accident...

If by getting "enlightened" you mean waiting on the actual investigation to be done until I pass judgment, I'm guilty as charged...

In no shape or form do I agree with the homosexual lifestyle, but to make the connection his homosexualty was the cause of this tragic event is making us look like exactly what the left accuse us of being...hateful

Could you please point me to the post where I absolved the engineer of any responsibility, except to say that if he acted with intent, he should be charged with 8 counts of murder a terrorism?

In 1989 —
When the USS Iowa (BB-61) had a 16” Gun Turret ‘blow up’, the Navy, along with the MSM decided it was the cause of a ‘love affair’ between a GM2 (Gummers(sic) Mate) and another crewman, so they were trying to sell the explosion on a homo love affair.

Of course, we were not supposed to be blaming the fact that WWII powder was being used and a GMC was conducting a somewhat illegal experiment.

From the moment I heard that the train accelerated into the curve, I suspected that this guy was another alpine pilot.....hated life and wanted to go out in a blaze of glory....still do.

Me neither....but he was the engineer....driving the train, controlling the THROTTLE.

What does his being gay have to do with the train being hit with a rock leading up to the accident?

The "rock" had nothing to do with anything....you cannot accidently increase the speed of a train....the throttle is a lever and is set, up or down in notches

That being the case, we need to be looking for the kids that threw the rock and charge them with 8 counts of first degree murder and an act of terrorism.

Yeah, I'll bet that they are picking up rocks at the scene and dusting for prints....well, maybe not.....Trains get hit by rocks and stuff all the time...I threw rocks at freight trains 65 years ago and didn't derail any of them...(missed most of them)...

It IS a bit odd that the Slimes published an article about what a wonderful guy he is just a couple days after the wreck - obviously trying to create the narrative that he isn’t at fault. If he were a conservative activist they would be braying for his head on a platter.

The next time a rock hits my windshield, should I immediately hit the emergency brake to prevent acceleration to 106 MPH? The rock story is a liberal media diversion. Train engineers have reported being hit by rocks and debris quite often and not wrecked the train.

A recently retired railroad engineer is a member of a Monday night church group I attend. I asked him what the heck happened, and he said it must have been the engineer’s fault, “probably texting” were his exact words. “His lawyer told him not to say anything,” he added. He went into great detail, which I don’t remember, about the many safety features of the new engines, the huge number of inspections and safeguards in place.

So, no, Amtrak doesn’t need more investment; they need to cull the gay engineers and put them to work as ticket sellers in stations.
