Air Force. They fly ‘cause they’re light in the loafers
Oh for crying out loud...
Definitely not the USAF I was in back in 1966! We were read the riot act on homosexuality each year and had to sign a statement that we understood it.
In basic, we were given a day of KP at the out processing reject homo barracks. We were ORDERED to serve the meal, “Do not laugh, giggle, stare at what you see there!”
And we saw plenty. Men with lipstick, pearls, earrings, ect.
We were then told that we would not want to be around THAT barracks at night because of what was going on there in the dark.
Your whole life now becomes a search for the public acceptance of that act. Incredible.
“Heller and Sweeney helped found Spectrum, the Air Force Academy gay and lesbian support group, of which Hill was one of the first members.”
But don’t quote scripture in the barracks, that 10-20 in Leavenworth............isis is just gonna be able to walk in unchallenged one of these days.
They joined The Air Force not to do the job .but to look for Sex Partners
My Air Force experience included 2 suicides by gays, one of whom was ostracized in a remote setting, the other a general’s aide whom authorities feared was subject to blackmail. Would today’s gay friendly military have prevented either? I don’t know, but I do know it would have been better had we not even walked down that road to reach the sorry state we are in today.
I remember commenting to a friend 30 years ago that I see the day coming when you won’t know whether to salute the old man or kiss him! Glad I’m retired.

We had good folks when I was in, but even in the late '80s/early '90s, there was a certain element who were not capable of understanding what service meant. I had one female tell me to my face that if she was ordered to the gulf (Desert Shield/Storm), she'd hop on the Commander's desk and light up a joint.
I told her I'd love to be a witness in her court martial... for the prosecution.
I told her that she signed on the dotted line, no one forced her to do so, and that I'd have no problem seeing her serve prison time and have a dishonorable discharge.
For some reason, she didn't talk to me much after that.
Never mind, we are toast.

I don't accept them. If they'd stayed in the closet, no problem. I just think they have some serious problems. Their being their is PC: not about what is best for the nation. How long until polygamists are welcomed?
Ew!
No, thank you. I will never celebrate perversion.
The Honor Codes at all the federal service academies were not written to include what would have been in their time, and thus remain, dishonorable acts. Thus the entire academy system has been compromised, along with the rest of the military forces in their stead.
