Our sweet big kitty just died peacefully in her sleep after a very short decline. We believe her heart just gave out.

There is a big Patches shaped hole in our hearts just at the moment.

Notre Père qui es aux cieux,
Que ton Nom soit sanctifié, que ton règne vienne,

Pardonne-nous nos offenses, comme nous pardonnons aussi à ceux qui nous ont offensés.
Et ne nous soumets pas à la tentation, mais délivre-nous du mal.

I am so sorry. I have three dogs that are my babies but I have had cats as well. I just wish dogs and cats lived longer. Doesn’t seem fair.

We lost our 14 year-old kitty late last year as well. Having an animal as a family member for that long and then losing them hurts.

Know you will see your kitty again. Until then we all just move on, but never forget.

Sorry for your loss. We know how you feel as we just lost another one of ours we’ve had since birth in 1994. He was the last of the 27 cats, and kittens that had taken over the barn that year.

We have another cat age 20 years who recently lost her eyesight, but is coping well.

So sorry about your loss.
You didn’t have to have her put down and that is actually good for you.
I have found the best medicine for the loss of a cat is a trip to the shelter for another.
It’s bringing in another character, not a replacement.
