Pope's encyclical to prove Ted Cruz right on global warming as religion

Pope Francis seems to be bent on proving Ted Cruz right that the cause of global warming is based more on religion than science. The pope is set to demand that the people of the Earth make changes in lifestyle and energy consumption to deal with the alleged threat, using the language of religion rather than science. According to a Tuesday article in USA Today, Bjorn Lomborg, a global warming skeptic, pointed out that the pope’s prescriptions will fall heaviest on the poor.

Back in March, Ted Cruz, a senator from Texas and candidate for president of the United States, said, referring to the rhetoric by believers in global warming, “And the language of denial is revealing because one usually hears of deniers in the religious context, dealing with heretics. And much of the global warming hysteria is pushed forth as a religious truth that no facts can dare contravene.”(continued)

The pope would do well to finally turn his attention to Minneapolis & St.Paul.

All this will do is create more divisions in the Church then it already needs.

Prediction: Pope Francis will step down once he reaches 80.

Pope “Peter the Roman” needs to turn attention on to church matters, like taking care of the priests that sodomized the boys, and other things that are going on within the church...

We have elections to elect people to run our government, and not everyone in this country is Catholic, so it would be a lot better if you kept your nose OUT of politics, except in the Vatican and mind your own business....

If the Pope’s influence furthers the idiotic AGW scam, you will be saddled with it too.

I just hope we don’t start hearing AGW homilies. I usually listen carefully to the homily but if the Priest strays into this nonsense I will be thinking of other things.

This is what I am hearing from the Pope...it`s ok to murder unborn children, it`s ok to teach children that homosexuality is a option for them, it`s ok to remove Christ from classroom/public square, but more importantly we need to try and save this Biblically doomed planet.

Thank You. It’s one thing to tell Catholics as well as Christians that we are stewards of God’s entire creation and as such have a moral obligation to be “GOOD” stewards! It’s a totally other thing (wrong IMO) to call for a “WORLD” organization to IMPOSE rules and regulations on “certain” western wealthy countries.

I will wait to read the entire encyclical before I pass my final judgment on it, but this does not look good at all.

I don’t have issues with Catholics but this kind of crap doesn’t help. I won’t turn against Catholics but others will.

‘Global Warming’ has always been about establishing a world governing body empowered to redistribute world wealth.

As are most groups on the Left, the science-deniers (i.e., global warming enthusiasts) are members of ust another cult, not a religion.

The pope now serves as both a religious as well as cult leader.

For a time there I was afraid that many, who basically insult, were the majority here. They don’t seem to understand how much this hurts.
So thank you for your compassion.

Christians are Christians in my book. We may have differences but where the rubber hits the road, faith in God is what counts.

I was born and raised Methodist BTW.

The pope does seem to be saying that. Rush pointed out that the pope is telling all RCs to vote democrat. How evil!

The Catholic vote is a part of the democrat party, the majority of Catholics will be supporting their church.

The Left have been infiltrating and destroying our traditional institutions one by one according to their goals in their Communist manifesto. They got our academia, media, Democratic party, entertainment industry, Boy Scouts of America, Girl Scouts of the USA, etc. And they are in the process of taking over the Catholic church, NRA, other churches, etc.

To declare that men can control weather changes is the epitome of arrogance, even for a Pope. The Sun, and in first instance God are responsible for weather changes.

Pope Francis is more radical and dangerous than Obama. As soon as he took power he rescued from the trash bin of History the Marxist liberation theology after was proscribed by John Paul II and Benedict XVI. Francis called the most radical of its leaders, Leonardo Boff, who was silenced by H.H. Pope John Paul II, as one of his adviser for his encyclical that tries to give moral support to the global warming hoax, but instead Francis destroys his credibility and demeans the respect for the Catholic Church.
