Climates and Pontiffs change, Christ never does

The sad truth is that under Francis, the papacy has drifted over from religion to politics; from the saving of souls to outright propagandizing.

On an undeniable roll, man-made global warming/climate change activists can legitimately present the greatest coup in their decades-long history: The Pope, social media’s top public figure, has thrown in with them.

In President Barack Obama’s ‘Brave New World’ world where transitioning over to genders and colours with which you weren’t born is a growing trend, Pope Francis is now the world’s prime global warming/climate change activist, in terms of Internet popularity, now bigger than Obama and Al Gore.

What advancing the status of man-made global warming has to do with religion leaves countless Christians scratching their heads.

Global warming scare mongering is denial of Christ:

Mark 4:37 A great windstorm arose, and the waves beat into the boat, so that the boat was already being swamped. 38 But he was in the stern, asleep on the cushion; and they woke him up and said to him, “Teacher, do you not care that we are perishing?” 39 He woke up and rebuked the wind, and said to the sea, “Peace! Be still!” Then the wind ceased, and there was a dead calm. 40 He said to them, “Why are you afraid? Have you still no faith?” 41 And they were filled with great awe and said to one another, “Who then is this, that even the wind and the sea obey him?”

My Church was already falling far behind Evangelicals in our key mission to save souls, and then this guy comes along.

Maybe he wants to do something big because he will be Pope for a short time.

Could it be that another Pope will step down? I say by the time he is 80.

I’m a Catholic but with this environmentalist/anthropogenic climate change encyclical, he’s lost me. I guess I’ll go back to be a non-denominational Christian. The Pope is leading his flock astray and it seems that we’re entering the End Times. Prepare spiritually!

Our Church gave out statistics last week that Mass attendance in our parish has fallen by nearly 1000 per week since 2010. For the first time the bleed-out of members to non-denominational churches was acknowledged as a factor.

I do attend some events at non-denominational churches, and everytime I do I encounter people who tell me they used to be Catholic.

To declare that men can control weather changes is the epitome of arrogance, even for a Pope. The Sun, and in first instance God are responsible for weather changes.

Pope Francis is more radical and dangerous than Obama. As soon as he took power he rescued from the trash bin of History the Marxist liberation theology after was proscribed by John Paul II and Benedict XVI. Francis called the most radical of its leaders, Leonardo Boff, who was silenced by H.H. Pope John Paul II, as one of his adviser for his encyclical that tries to give moral support to the global warming hoax, but instead Francis destroys his credibility and demeans the respect for the Catholic Church.

Jesus is all we need. Catholicism makes you feel at home with their format but it is unnecessary. Good luck on your quest. We live in interesting times.

Hillary’s campaign is also appropriating her church and the Bible for totalitarianism. Coincidence?

This is the final sign that the right has lost the culture war and that the left has truly become the mainstream.

The church out of desperation to remain relevant has now been forced to join with the left in a political alliance of sorts.

The left will now be empowered by this alliance and will now start using the church to enforce (by shaming and through the pulpit) their new morality on us all.

Gay marriage will be codified by the church at which point the left will magically rediscover chastity. The church will then start teaching (with the approval of the left) that everyone should wait until marriage to have sex regardless of whether they are straight of homosexual.

This was their plan all along in my opinion. They knew they couldn't allow the church to teach unchallenged the notion of chastity if gays were not allowed to be married, since that would mean that all gay relationships are sinful since any sex outside of marriage is a sin. They have now corrected that and will now rediscover morality now that it includes everyone.

Our Church gave out statistics last week that Mass attendance in our parish has fallen by nearly 1000 per week

that would be 52,000 per year...

since 2010.

and the four year span 2011-2014 would be 208,000 in total...just wondering, how big is your parish...?

The left has been infiltrating the church for 30-40 years.

The Church stood boldly against communism as was correctly seen as a threat to the world wide communist movement.

So the commies started placing their people into the priesthood (as they had been other organizations like the American Psychological Association). And in fact it was many of these exact infiltrators that were the priests that eventually raped children. Which the left then successfully spun as a condemnation of the church while miraculously managing to avoid a purge of their child molester infiltrators.

Once they had a critical mass of priests that had worked their way up through the leadership they staged a bloodless coup and had the last pope removed and replaced with one of their own commie infiltrators.

Thanks PB! Yes, we are living in very interesting times. I pray everyday that Jesus grants me the guidance and discernment to negotiate these times in His way.

My son is one of those. He's now an Evangelical Christian as is his wife. When we visit them, my wife and I attend church with them.

To declare that men can control weather changes is the epitome of arrogance, even for a Pope. The Sun, and in first instance God are responsible for weather changes.

Having served in the Air Weather Service while in the USAF and being a life-long weather buff, I know that those man made climate change chicken littles are full of it and it's ideologically motivated. The Pope should know better but it seems he drank the koolaid and my BS meter is alerting me full bore!

Pope Francis is more radical and dangerous than Obama. Yes, his rescue of liberation theology set my BS meter off as well! Again, it's ideological and as with human induced climate change, Marxist and Godless at its core. For a Pope to embrace this is unfathomable, but at least we know where he stands.

I'm not trying to start a fight, but just have a conversation. Revelation 18:4 tells Catholics to come out of the Whore of Babylon and we know Babylon is Rome from 1 Peter 5:13, as he was in Rome when he wrote it. We have most of the "doctrine of demons" in 1 Timothy 4:1 covered with Catholicism, especially forbidding to marry. There is much more concerning worshiping Mary, making idols in your car, in the yard, on the road, ect. The Bible says we are a Royal priesthood, forever forgiven, so why do we need priests to absolve us from anything? The misinterpretation of Mat: 16 to make Peter a pope is the basis for the whole RC movement. The "church" is based on the revelation from God that Jesus is the Christ, not on a man. There is literal hours of arguments to be made about the faults in the Catholic religion. Many don't even consider RC's Christians. I am not one of them. Romans 10: 8-9 tells us how to be saved and it has nothing to do with a man made denomination.

There are many Catholics that confess Jesus with their lips, yet feel being Catholic is the key to salvation. God has accepted Catholic believers if they believe, but as the Last Days grow close, IMO, he is looking for those to stop relying on false doctrine and come out and come close to Him. A heretic for a pope should shake many RC's out of their slumber. People that decide to follow the RC church, rather than God will not remain blameless, IMO.

This latest horse apple about the environment should wake even the most devout Catholic that something is amiss. Readjusting the beliefs about gay marriage is another. If this guys stays for a couple more years, you may get a Bishop named Caitlyn Jenner formally named Prince or something even more bizarre. I knew we were in for a tough time when I found out he was a Jesuit. Look up Father Michael L. Pfleger to see what brain damage Jesuits have. IMO, RC's are about to discover the fate of Methodists, Lutherans, Presbyterians, and others that have forsaken the Word of God for the laws of men. In many non denominational churches, when a preacher goes astray, they are removed and another is voted on. If you rely on a church government, chances are small that things will make a meaningful change. Just as we see in the gay priests molesting alter boys, almost nothing has really been done farther than some adjustments around the edges. Changing thousands of years of RC dogma is as easy as the pope issuing a paper. Glenn Beck was just complaining that his daughter was attending Fordham U and was taught by priests that sodomy wasn't the problem in Sodom. This is universal idiocy, not just Catholics, but everyone must deal with the cards they were dealt.

It's time for all believers, not just RC's, to re examine their faith and make sure it's in Christ alone and not some dogma construct from men. As we see in Revelation, there are churches that are not where Christ would have them be. We have foolish virgins and wise virgins. We have servants that will experience the gnashing of teeth and outer darkness. Servants and virgins are not "lost people" but are church members. Don't be the person saying "Didn't we cast out demons in your name?" and the Lord says "I never knew you."

This is not meant to start a fight, but just to make a statement and quote God's Word. If anyone reading just stops a moment to ponder what was said, then that is the effect I was seeking. Everyone must work out their own salvation, and we have God's own words to guide us. The Holy Spirit is our teacher and an inquiry of Him is the right way and essential. God freely gives to those that ask and opens doors that are knocked on. Relying on a mans opinion is not it. Anyone that really cares will seek out the Truth.
