Something is coming. I don’t know what. But we must be ready. Here’s the key question: Is America heading towards a terrible implosion or a great awakening?
I feel a tremendous sense of urgency about this column.
The United States is hurtling towards severe trouble, and the events of the past few months — and what may be coming over the next few months — grieves me a great deal.
Something is coming. I don’t know what. But we all must be ready in every possible way.
Consider where we are in the summer of 2015:
•Violence is exploding in our cities, schools and churches. The horrific mass murder inside the church in Charleston would be bad enough if it wasn’t just one of innumerable mass killings that have become epidemic in America.
•Racism is tearing us apart, and it appears things are getting worse, not better.
•The Supreme Court is poised to rule any day now on the definition and future of marriage — and if the Court rules against Biblical marriage I believe this could cause the Lord’s hand to turn against our country in a severe and profound way according to the moral laws found in Romans chapter one.
•Abortions are occurring at more than one million in year and have put America on the fast track to judgment. Since 1973, Americans have murdered 57 million children through abortions. The blood of 57 million babies is crying out for justice, and they will get it in God’s sovereign timing. Could that be soon?
•If all this wasn’t bad enough, marriages and families are imploding all around us. Poverty is growing. Drug and alcohol use is epidemic. And that’s just here at home.
•Abroad, Iran is closing in on The Bomb.

Check the oil level in their lamps, ask them when they will have eternal life. If they avoid answering, they’re worried they might not ever. They argue with you, they have not had any oil in their lamp. And if they cuss you out for being an ass they likely don’t want any free oil which you can offer. The oil is the Holy Spirit God puts into the human spirit at the moment of born from above. The Lamp is the human spirit designed to light the human soul when oiled up and lit.

that is true. However, with so many other events not related to it converging on september . . . . . well the hints are becoming a 2x4 to the head.
I might have missed it on your neat list but the Iran nuclear deal “seals the deal”.
Satan loses every showdown with God.
He has had one, and he has three more coming.
(1) As the 70th week of Daniel’s prophecy comes upon us, satan will be cast out of the throne room of God, and cast down to Earth. (2) That will bring on the tribulation of the saints. He will lose that one too, and be cast into the abyss. (3) At the end of the millennial reign he will be “loosed for a little season,” and tempt men to go to war against Yeshua. He loses again, and is cast into the lake of fire.
These three events frame the future for all that do not follow Y’shua. Y’shua’s bride will be gathered to the wedding feast at the end of the tribulation, and will rule with him in victory for the remainder of creation’s time.
See that you be not troubled. He will take us through the trib in a place prepared in the desert, and then we are gathered to be with him.
You figure the Psalm 83 war comes before or after the Rapture? I’m leaning to after since Israel haters will not yet risk US retaliation for trying to annihilate all Jews from the mid east. Even with L4B and his regime in power, the US military and nuke arsenal is a mighty weapon. Once the Psalm 83 build up starts there’s no pretending any longer, satan’s minions will be exposed en masse.

America is the great nation of Manasseh.
The old colonies, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, India, etc are the many nations of Ephraim. These things are recorded in Genesis 48 and 49.

I meant that as symbolic hope that we can eventually recover from the damage Obama has done to our once great country. ie, we are not down and out quite yet.

Even for the non-religious, Rosenberg’s writings are prescient & troubling. Military/political thrillers that are top-notch!
And no matter how many times (or however many of) this country’s leaders proclaim to not be at war with Islam(TM) Mohammed’s beloved sons *spit* are certainly at war with civilization which includes their peaceful fellow Muslims AND us!
A quick check reveals that you received ample replies to your original comment even tho it was not a question but a brief, seemingly non-controversial statement: paying off your mortgage instead of investing, so as to be debt-free.
IMO, the peace of mind of owing nothing to nobody goes highly under-rated.
