A Republic If You Can Keep IT

What a silly bunch of people our Founding Fathers were. They worked for months to create the Constitution to give birth to a republic. What a waste of time. All they really needed to do was to create the Supreme Court with instructions to make it up as they go along. But no, those silly men foolishly tried to create a nation of laws, not a nation of men.

Anyone can see that all we needed was a dictatorship of nine people called the Supreme Court. So throw that foolish Constitution in the fire. We never needed it. One of those fools was Benjamin Franklin.

After leaving the Constitutional Convention,Doctor Franklin was approached by a lady who asked; "Well Doctor what have we got a republic or a monarchy?". "A republic replied the Doctor if you can keep it".
Well, Doctor Franklin, we did not keep it.

In 1785, Thomas Jefferson said “Indeed, I tremble for my country when I reflect that God is just”. So do I President Jefferson, so do I.

The pols and tyrant judges have broken their oaths to observe and keep within the Constitution. They are the liars doing the bidding of their ‘father’ of.

How long have we been in denial, telling ourselves, we’ll get it right this time when we elect X or sign petition. It was a gossamer dream, and now it has been swept aside.

Can’t wait till the Supreme Court rules that all women must be covered from head to toe by a hijab out of respect for their beauty and chastity under Sharia.

You know, that living Constitution works both ways,,,, that damn evolving society thing can bite you back!

The bottom line that you essentially had to listen to the discussions at the Constitutional Convention in order to understand how the delegates had intended for the Constitution to be interpreted. In fact, the delegates should have made a constitutional proficiency test that people interested in serving their state and / or the country had to pass before being allowed to become a candidate for any public office.

The reality is that most people’s understanding of the Constitution is probably based on gossip, hearsay and outright lies, as evidenced by the legalization of gay marriage by activist justices, and old wives’ tales which low-information citizens — including law school students — have been intoctrinated to unquestioningly accept as the gospel truth about the Constitution.

Patriots need to take the Constitution out of its gift wrapping, read it (RTFM), and actually start practicing it.
