Color me surprised (no racial pun intended) that the University of Memphis even let this woman go. I’d have assumed that her comments would be regarded as “protected free speech”.
I suspect that a visit by Jesse Jackson or Alan Sharpton is in the works. The former can tie in the professor’s dismissal (all in one of his trademark rhetorical flourishes) right up there with MLK’s assassination in that city.
