I agree that our politics are beneath Him as far as the big picture is concerned. I made this to comment on the inherent hypocrisy and silliness of the left trying to simultaneously reject God and then claim He’s actually on their side and always has been.

Oh I definitely agree with the sentiment; my comment wasn’t a critique of your art (which shows talent and wit, as do your other images). I guess I just have changed as I have gotten older... The left saying such things used to fire me up, but now I find it makes me sad for them. I pity them and wish deeply that the folks who assert such nonsense would stumble upon the fact that Jesus IS in many cases the inspiration for the dreams of the classical liberal... Healing the sick, freeing the oppressed, exposing hypocrisy, lashing out against a pharisaic mindset and offering forgiveness and grace, giving dignity to every person. His future kingdom will be one of perfect justice and provision. Many of the ideals they seek are found in him, they just simply cannot be accomplished without Him. I know that men like Marx did not glean much from Christ of course - their motivations were more from jealousy, licentiousness, materialism, and a tendency toward bloodshed and tyranny, but were not many of the social Democrat types the beneficiaries of Christian ideals who misguidedly thought they could fulfill them with the idol of humanism instead of seeking God? Oh that modern liberals might see with their eyes and hear with their ears!
