I am still checking this but I had heard that they inject a chemical into the baby's heart in order to kill it. That is for the big babies. But when they need tissues from the baby they can't inject the killing fluid, so the baby gets to feel its dissection.
Still checking on this, but it sounds about right.
People who would do this to babies are hell-fodder.
