Trump is a Liberal (Vanity)

Posted on 08/03/2015 9:23:24 AM PDT by demshateGod

I won't take a lot of time on this. Trump's liberalism is well documented: gun control, abortion, Sodomite rights, illegal immigration, giving to the Clinton Foundation, taxes, single-payer, not a sincere Christian, and whatever else you got.

He's a liberal. I will not vote for a liberal. People on FR are being duped by the media into nominating someone who turns off a huge chunk of the base. Even if Trump can pull in enough Low Information Votes to become president, the conservatives still lose.

“The gay thing is fait accompli. No candidate is going to change anything about that. Sad to say, the same with abortion.”

Meh, if the Republicans give up on those issues, I give up on the Republicans. And I’ll vote Democrat, just to cost them two votes.

Talk is cheap, and that's what Trump is about.

Oh yeah, Trump and the empire he built are just cheap talk!

I can see things mounting up the way they have in the past.

Cruz and Trump are on the same page....they and others are taking back the country....no need to pit them against each other just watch the plays.....is it not interesting that they're all lining up at the gate tonight except Trump?

As for illegals....Trump simply wants to manage the “workforce” commodity coming in and out through the border....and getting the undesirables out of the loop which wastes time, resources and money.

Same with immigration laws....enforcement of them and streamline the flow of ‘desirable’ immigrants and those who've been waiting in line.

Trumps about efficiency, all centered around business and industry functioning 'smoothly'....get rid of what wastes time and resources....doesn't matter if it's people or things, if it's holding up effectiveness it goes.

One of the funniest letters I got recently was from the chairman of the National Republican Senate Campaign Committee, Senator Rob Portman of Ohio.

I don’t support gay marriage although I see freedom of religion and speech for those who oppose it as even more important (the key issue) since the LGBT activists are out to crush it.

Those who are just “gay marriage must be reversed” and think the GOP is out to help them are suckers for the likes of Senator Portman.

Portman reversed his gay marriage position from opposed to in favor of gay marriage a year or two back.

For any social conservative to send people like Portman money would put them in the “Battered Wife Syndrome” category.

GOPe’s propose freedom of conscience legislation, but even if they pass it and get a governor or Obama to sign it, the courts will shoot it down anyway.

That kind of stuff is pretty much for show as well, political grandstanding that is meaningless.......

Religiosity isn’t the solution.
Jimmy Carter only made things worse.

You need a change in view then. Stop looking in the past in how politics worked then...Obama showed clearly things have changed in how he ran his campaign...and won.

The people wanting our country back are playing hard this time around...’watch the plays’ rather than just the candidates, which are more significant at this juncture.

Caww, the Friday before last Trump was interviewed on “Morning Joe” and admitted that some of his views are those of a Democrat. He hasn’t changed. He’s telling us straight out what he is.

I see Trump is the patent medicine huckster who is trying to sell you a bottle of grain alcohol to cure your rheumatism.

Of course Trump is a liberal. But not all have been fooled. Some are willing to vote for the liberal because they like what he has been saying.

Of course his liberal past should be considered. But many have fallen for the rhetoric which begs the question; where does one draw the line? If a lifelong liberal like Donald Trump can gain conservatives support simply by saying what they want to hear, would they also support Anthony Weiner if he did the same? I firmly believe from what I have seen in this forum at least some would.

I’m surprised you haven’t gotten flamed for that comment, but I see what you’re saying. I think if indeed such is true, it is because Trump is beholden to nobody. I do not believe Cruz can say the same, not even close. That said, I still have hopes for Cruz, but I also have fears regarding him and the alliances he most likely made in his ‘continuing education’. I highly doubt Trump has any sort of debt with those societies. That also places a growing red dot over his vitals with those sorts as he heads further out into the lead.

And, you believe him? I’m not saying just because a person belongs to a particular church, they are Christians. Going to church doesn’t make one a Christian. And, yes, I understand Huckabee is a Baptist minister, but, Cruz has been very open about his faith as well. They are both good men.
