If the GOP ticket were Cruz/Rubio, or Rubio/Cruz, what percentage of the latino vote would it get?
one man's opinion...

I'm interested in what others here think of this scenario, hopefully assessing it as objectively as possible. It would seem that statistically it offers a high probability of winning the White House.

5?! So you think Cruz and Rubio would get less than 20% of what Romney got?? Can you explain? You think Romney was especially strong in that demographic?

Ted Cruz/Mike Lee

Gotta trust your running mate and Mike Lee has been his most trustworthy ally.

You are right- We need to reach the immigrant voters and tell them over and over and over to vote Democrat ONLY if they want this country to turn into the crap-hole they left

They need to be told that the Democrats may have let them in (illegally or not) but it was only to buy their votes, like the corrupt politicians in the places they left.

JMO. That type ticket would fly against the norm of tradition. Normally a ticket
would include an outreach to other segments of the voting public. And if Clinton is the Dem nominee it wouldn’t surprise me to see a female on
the GOP ticket. Who knows at this early stage but interesting to speculate.
Take care.

Generally, “Hispanics” are more socialist than they are “mexican, etc.” and I think they will vote in massive numbers for the Democrat no matter what names are on the GOP ticket ... as they always have.

That's my take on it also.

The appeal the socialists (Dems) have always had is,
"Vote for me ,I will get you someone else's money.

That will trump, Immigration, Economic, Islamic and social concerns.

The socialists know this and that is why they want a flood of Hispanic immigrants into this country.

The dumb Republicans persist in believing the Hispanic conservative myth , because a few Hispanics have become successful as Republicans.-Tom

Any Republican ticket, even if Señor Wences is the nominee, won’t get more than 25% of the “Hispanics”.

Forget them.

Increase the GOP white vote 5-7% and never lose again.

It is too early to tell for sure, but my guess is that the strength of such a ticket would be in their likelihood of locking up both Texas and Florida as their home states and less so in their appeal to Hispanics. No matter how great such appeal, they cannot hope to carry the big prize of California, but might have marginal gains in North Carolina and Virginia, which have significant pools of Hispanic voters. The larger problem is that Cruz and Rubio might have trouble drawing conservative blue collar white voters, which is where Romney fell short.

Many hispanics are more hostile to cubans than they are to european whites.

Cubans tend to see themselves as very separate from Central and South Americans--more cultured, more European, more educated. In short, they look down on most Hispanics. So it's not unexpected that Hispanics reciprocate the disdain.

“They need to be told that the Democrats may have let them in (illegally or not) but it was only to buy their votes”

But that’s why they came - to sell their votes.

Rubio? The naif who raced in his first weeks in the Senate to be the poster boy on an amnesty deal with the serpent Schumer?

Hispanics have likely just flipped Virginia, just as they flipped California, New Mexico and Colorado. The GOP's path to 270 EVs is now barely plausible. When the U.S. born Hispanic majority in Texas is old enough to vote (most children born in Texas are Hispanic) the path ceases to exist and it's Game Over.

So we're already a Dead Country Walking, certain to die via massive third-world, mostly Hispanic, immigration.

While the Senate and eventually the House will pass permanently into the Left's hand, their lock on the White House will soon give them the Supreme Court.

In twenty years, after Hillary and her democrat successor are done replacing the Reagan and GHWB picks, the elderly Alito will be the only conservative on the Supreme Court, though Roberts, the only other GOP pick still there, will sometimes join him in dissents.

We can look forward to 8-1 and 7-2 decisions locking in the Fundamental Transformation of America - ie mandating racial preferences in all facets of life, the end of all immigration and border controls, the criminalization of dissent (particularly of Islam), the end of the 2A, etc, etc.

It wouldn’t be more than it is now. In addition, if this was in fact the case, Julian Castro would be on the rats ticket to ensure Cruz/Rubio didn’t get more hispanic votes.

Won’t matter illegal alien voters will cancel out any percentage of legal Hispanic voters and a good portion of all other voters.

The Progressive Liberal Democrat/Rino Communist Uni-Party has spent decades corrupting our election process for just a time such as this when people are beginning to wake up, they will not allow a fair process to tear apart their gains.

Unless Americans go to the Polls in numbers that far exceed what Reagan accomplished and that was unprecedented.

Boldly battling the enemy without and within... CRUZ 2016!

Do not make the mistake of thinking Latinos are of one mind. Mexicans for the most part have no use for Cubans or Puerto Ricans.

Cruz and Rubio both will attract few Mexican American votes. Recent Mexican immigrants eligible to vote will vote Dem in huge numbers.

They have tended to come for the goodies and line up for miles at the border going “home” for Christmas loaded with goodies bought with monies from our tax dollars and from having taken older American’s jobs.
Older Mexican Americans and even newer ones who have come legally with love and admiration for this country and its laws, which they obey will tend to vote for a true conservative; pro-life, pro-God, pro-family, pro-tule of law, pro-reasonably regulated free market.

This based on a family history of almost 150 years on the Mexican border.

What are the names of the GOP congressmen who won a majority of their district's Mexican-American votes?
